If you don't see me during the day........

.....it is because I am starting a new job at a law firm in the town I live in and I do not know if I will have access to the internet. I will be 1.8 miles from home instead of 10 miles, so I will come home at lunch and check in then.

The attorney I will be working for is a 180º turn around from the one I left behind, meaning, this one WORKS! I am looking forward to the change but am a bit scared about this change. I know I can do the job, it is just revamping my work skills and getting things done, which I always did at the other law firm, it is just what I get done here won't sit around for a week waiting for the attorney to look it over for approval! :haha:

Anyway, just wanted you all to know that if you don't see me, it is because of the new job. After I get used to things, perhaps I will see if I can squeeze in some prairie time, that is, if the internet is accessable to me.

Rhonda, it is always difficult at first when you come out of your comfort zone, but in no time at all, you'll have everything "down" and you'll wonder why you were nervous in the first place!! Good for you on pursuing a new job. I think the change will do you good and you need to have pleasant people in your life!!

Sorry I didn't get back to this before now. This lawfirm is SO different from where I came from, I was actually overwhelmed with how the attorney did things. There is internet on the computer, but I don't DARE get on it. So, I come home at lunch and check things then. In time, it will get easier but for now it will take some getting used to at the new place and I pray I can learn it all. Right now my brain is mush..............

It will take some time to get used, give it a week or two and you will have it down. It's the same way I was with my new job (which started as an internship). It's nerve racking being in a completely new environment, but your bosses will be sympathetic to that. In a little time it will be like a piece of cake to you! Good luck! {{hugs}}

Don't worry, Rhonda...Adjusting to a new job IS difficult, but in some days, you'll be used to it as you were to your old job.

But I knew you should get the work you wanted, close to your home! :woohooo: That's great! Not all people could work so close to the place they actually lives. A friend of mine must travel TWO HOURS to get to her job, so CONGRATS, RHONDA...you are lucky! Cheer

And the little "adjust" troubles you are experiencing right now, will disappear quite fast. Be sure of it. Thumbsup
