What an awful thing. Some stormchasers caught the tornado and its aftermath on video.

Here is a link of the local newspaper in my area.....It has pictures and videos of the Joplin, MO where the tornado hit....I tried looking for a story, but couldn't find it.....but please pray for a 16-month old boy that cannot be located. His parents were hurt and are in a hospital in Kansas....They do not know that their son is missing....so sad...

That video is absolutely stunning. Those poor people are in my prayers. Especially the sixteen-month-old little fella.

Your heart just breaks for her. This is going to change everyone in Joplin.
My cousin Ryan moved there with his wife, Julie and 8 yr old autistic son, Matthew just last summer. They had heard that there was better schools in the area to help Matthew. They loved it there and want to stay. They were very lucky by taking cover in a master bathroom closet. By being on the bottom floor of their three level apartment building they were safer than most. They have one another, and the clothes that were in that closet. More than most of the people they have run into. Ryan walked outside after it all had calmed to get his family out of the building and check his cars. They were destroyed. A couple traveling from Branson stopped and asked them if they could help. He said " Yes, we are going to need a motel room." They found one finally 20 miles away in Carthage. Ryan said he now knows why he grew up having to help his Dad with capentry work. There is a need and he will know how to help.

I can't even imagine the fear of being separated from your toddler son. I mean, honestly....I can't think of much worse. That poor little boy, and his parents. Praying for them.

Oh Rhonda, I will pray for them. Have you heard from any of them yet? I can't even believe this...they're saying there were 69 more tornadoes today. What is going on????

Rob! I'm a mess. That poor woman! I'm praying for her too.....what an amazing husband she had. I am sure she was shocked to hear Brian Williams (I think it was Brian) saying "your late husband". That had to hurt considering this is so 'fresh'. She is still in shock, obviously.
And I was just watching the news and they were saying this woman in a Walmart was separated from her infant son for awhile. Again, can you imagine???? Well, this big burly man took care of him, even fed him his bottle trying to calm him, as this tornado was tearing through! Talk about an angel sent from above.
Gin, again, I am so sorry for what you cousin and his family are going through. I will keep them in my prayers.

16 month Skylar has been found....his little body was identified in the morgue. It had been there since Sunday night.....Tornado came through that afternoon, so his may have been one of the first ones found....Please pray for his family as they have to move forward without him.

YES!! I'm SO looking forward to tomorrow, Amy!! It got to 103 here yesterday. It took some doing to find the positive in that. It's 96 here right now, but there's a glorious wind out there! It doesn't make it cool, but it makes it much more bearable.

Oh my gosh, seriously?!?! I had no idea it got that hot! Thank goodness for central air! Our unit is 30 years old though...so far so good, but I can't imagine losing it on one of these hot and humid days. One of my fb friends lost hers yesterday!

We are actually having temps in the mid 80º's with low to no humidity....which makes it GORGEOUS outside!!! It feels more like the spring we missed.....but alas....the heat and humidity is supposed to be heading back our way tomorrow or Saturday. So for now, I will enjoy this beautiful weather!!!
