By the way, the weather yesterday did not get out of the 60º's, rainy and cold, today it will be in the 70º's and by Wednesday we are up for some nasty weather, including but not limited to, tornadoes! Can you imagine?!?! Then, by Saturday, it will be back to 87º....

Well as I passed the dairy on my way to work this morning, the cows were sitting down so that means some rain is coming our way grinsmiley

We'll have a high of 68 degrees here today w/ 20% chance of showers.

I never knew that. Wow this is the 2nd lesson I learned about cows. First it was the "Cow Tipping", and now "Cow Sitting".

It's what I've heard from several people. Sometimes I've seen them standing, but most of the time I've seen them sit in groups when it smells like rain...

A farmer once told me, "If the cows are standing, it`s going to be a real sunny day, " "If they are laying down, it`s going to rain."

I asked him "What if some are standing and some are laying down?"

Yep......that's the saying around here, too, Carol. LOL about the scattered showers. When we see half of the cows laying down, and half standing, we always joke that there's a 50% chance of rain.

Hmmm. I think it must depend on the cows. I grew up in PNW of Washington state (where it rains a lot!) and the cows were hardly ever laying down.

We sure could use rain here in Virginia. I watered and watered my poor flower beds today but they were still dry when I dug down to check.

How is the weather lately for everyone? We're in the middle of a snowstorm here in the northeast. I actually thought it was ending around 11 b/c it was clearing up and I was going to try to make it into work, but, of course then it started back up even heavier than before. I'm not too upset about having to miss work...I could use a day to catch up on things, most importantly playing on the prairie Is anyone else dealing with the snow? Please be safe if you are!

We haven't had snow in two days! For the last month, we'd had at least trace amounts of snow every day, so it seems really strange to not have any snow coming down. AND I can see the sunshine! It's only around 12 degrees out, so the sunshine is pretty deceptive, though. You could send some of the snow my way if you don't want it. grinsmiley

We had a little storm this morning. It was so pretty coming down and I was inside watching it not out playing in it. But right now the sun is shining brightly trying to melt all that fell earlier. The sun has a loooong way to go.
