Cold and Foggy on the ground (in the 50s) and lots of snow in higher elevations!

The parks have A LOT of snow...

I *really* miss the California mountains!!!

Wow! They are beautiful. I would love to be able to go there one day.

We got more snow today. At least another 3 inches. It's only 25 here.

This morning it was snowing but it didn't last long. We are going to PA tomorrow to my mom-in-laws for a late Christmas. They have a few inches on the ground there.

The weather? I'm pretty convinced it's somehow cloudy and biting cold. It's too dark where I live though (it's night) so I can't give you a clear appearance.

I'll bet it is cold in Sweden, and beautiful, too.

One other thing that is a bit weird is that its mid January and our trees have just now in the past few weeks turned fall colors and now falling! When we moved here in October of 2000 it was cold...a normal fall. By Christmas our Bradford pear trees turned the color of cinnamon and then the leaves would be gone by early January. Thats just how late it was for Texas....THEN. Its like everything has slowed down and our growing season is about 10 months now.
I am hoping to build some above the ground garden beds this year and see what I can grow. With the weather so warm I hope to have alot....IF I can beat the squirrels to it.

Anyone interested in coming up to Minneapolis for a little 11 degrees below zero action? That was the actual temp this morning. Windchill was probably 20-30 below.

No thanks Teresa....we had 8º the other morning and I was not a fan of it then....certainly not a fan of it now, especially the below zero part!

Gin, it sounds like everyone's seasons are changing. We have had mild winters two winters in a row, then it hits late in the season. Then our summers go very late, into the fall. (I HATE that, because I like a long fall). Fall lasts long, but it's the 'ugly' fall, like the November fall, when the leaves are off all the trees and it's just brown all the time. I wish our seasons would return to normal, but I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

I like a long fall, too, Amy. It's my favorite season. Not too hot, not too cold.

Come on, you and Rhonda could ride your bikes here. Or at least Rhonda. Ha!

And here I am freezing at 19 degrees.

Oh, I would LOVE a balmy 19 degrees!! A week ago that seemed so cold, but not anymore.

I would never make it through a Minnesota winter, Teresa!

Actually, our last couple of winters have been pretty mild. Northern Minnesota is what I could never handle. I'm happy to be much farther south in a suburb of Minneapolis. We tend to get a week, here and there, with bitter temps which I can see no one wanting to deal with, but it's really not too bad where I'm at. This week is just a tough one! The people up north are like eskimos. LOL!

We have been having Crazy cold temps, Monday it was minus 43 Celsius with windchill which is about minus 45 Fahrenheit, Now its minus 27 Celsius which is about minus 16 Fahrenheit it actually feels warm now compare to what it felt like Monday, But we are have a Windchill warning again so it will get really cold again

it's tooo cold for my taste!!!

We made it to 70 today! I fear rain is coming though. I got up this morning with a sinus headache so that usually means rain.
I'll do my best to blow a little warm air your way guys.

It's 15 degrees outside. Feels like 5 degrees outside, right now. I been outside this pass afternoon. It's freezing cold outside.
