| Toby, a golden retriever didn't hesitate when his owner, Debbie Parkhurst choked on a piece of apple and couldn't breathe. Toby did a doggy version of the Heimlich manuever.
Parkhurst was sitting on a couch in her maryland home snacking on an apple when a piece of peel went down her throat. She was in a sheer panic, she started to beat on her chest. That was when Toby knocked her down and jumped up and down on her chest twice, and the piece of apple was dislodged.
Toby was honored for heroism from ASPCA.
:woohooo: Toby!! :woohooo: "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved."

| That is awesome! I love hearing stories like that.
That is sad to hear what happened to him as a pup though. :( It sounds like he was showing his appreciation to his new owner for being so good to him. What an amazing dog!

| Doggies and kitties are just little angels. It's said to said it, but most of them are better than some human beings. Go on, our dearest puppies! :woohooo: Vanesa. | |
