Under the users online it says Bots Yahoo! (1) What the heck does that mean?

This is really strange. I'm positively sure I saw Google (1) earlier, now it's Yahoo (1).......... Huh?

Yep. I've seen Google, Yahoo and MSN here today. I wonder why.

Bots are nasty little viruses and worms. You need to invest in some virus protection programs right away.If you don't these Bots can lock up your whole system and then you have to wipe out your computer system and re-install everything all over.

There are malicious bots (and botnets) of the following types:
Spambots that harvest email addresses from contact forms or guestbook pages

That is really NOT good. I saw google today, and then Yahoo! too. When the Anne forum started getting hacked, I quit going. I hope that dosn't happen here! bawling

This is a real nightmare. All Forums I uses to go are or hacked or infected by viruses...I can't understand WHY there is people who does this kind of things. It's idiot and stupid. mad

No to worry people, you can all relax, they are not hackers Wave

These bots (Yahoo, MSN, Google) belong to search engines and are what help list this forum in search engine results. Your e-mails or other personal info are protected from them... they can only see what a guest sees when they come to this forum.

They come once in a long while and index forums so that they will appear on those search engines. So don't worry, they are harmless.

Here's what bots do. They gather info for their search engines. For example, I typed "The lhotp keeperships" into yahoo and this is what I got. You'll notice all entries are this forum or related to this forum:

They'll probably be here, off and on, for quite a while. The bots may, partly, be trying to see when the heaviest traffic is here. Apparently, the search engines just found us. LOL! When they first started showing up here, I went to Google to see what I could find out about them. It was pretty interesting! Google bots visit 2,000 pages per SECOND, gathering information for indexing. Isn't that amazing??
