The snow here is so gorgeous!! There's over a foot of it on the ground! :woohooo: I love it!

It took a while to clear the snow, and Sunday School was cancelled, but we made it to morning service. Even the short trip there was treacherous! Evening service has been cancelled because it's supposed to get worse tonight.

But it looks so beautiful!! Oh my word! X_snowingOh my word! Xmas_cat

I wish we just got snow. Instead, there's about 3 inches of snow with ice mixed into it. We had freezing rain and really bad wind all night long, and woke up today with no power, no heat, and no hot water. It's been a very long, tiring day but we just got the power back. I'm not looking forward to driving to work in the ice/snow tomorrow :(

We have about 2 feet of snow on our lawn. Most of it came today. Driving was slow and sure this morning and we made it to church for a planned breakfast and children's program. Freezing rain will start tonight so tomorrow morning's drive at 6 am will be fun!!

We got a fair amount of rain (much needed), and lots of wind. I live in GA, so snow here is fairly rare.

All of you driving in the snow...be safe!

Christina! I'm so glad that your power is back on! I know how hard it is to be without power after a winter storm comes through! Be really careful out driving tomorrow. And make sure you have warm things with you, and maybe some chocolate, just in case. You, too, Marilyn!

We're supposed to get more snow, and strong winds tonight. School is already cancelled for tomorrow, in anticipation of bad driving conditions. The plows aren't even caught up yet with what we already have, so it isn't surprising that school is being called off.

You want mine too, Savannah? The schools are closed here too for tomorrow.

Devin and I shoveled today and I ended up with a very sore back and frostbitten toes. The snow is very heavy! I'm not lovin' it. So, if you want it, I'll send you more. :)

Thanks, Savannah. Ugh, I jsut looked at tomorrow's weather report and we're supposed to have what appears to be rain overnight, and then snow between 6 AM and 9 AM - of course, it would have to be the time I'm going to work, LOL. I'm just nervous about driving there, I really don't like driving in the snow.

We got to enjoy it some today and we went sledding. I can't stand to be out there for more than half an hour though, because my toes get frostbitten so easy. Even with three pairs of socks and a pair of boots! I guess once you experience frostbite, you are more susceptible to it happening again. But it was fun to see the kids having a good time anyway. I even went down a couple of times myself.

Maybe later, Kelsey and I will make some snow cream.

One of these days I'm going to go away and find some snow, go on a chilly sleigh ride (at night) and THEN have my picture made to PROVE I did it! I know that snow can be hard to live with, but its all a part of Christmas.....just wish I could experience it again. Blue
