For safe travels today

I'm praying that everyone's travels are safe today.

I'm back safe and sound. Or........as sound as I'm likely to be, anyway. Thank you for the prayers! I went over to see my precious ones today. (A whole crew of us went, acutally) It's always such an absolute blessing to hold them in my arms again, and to be able to kiss their faces. When I walked in, Caleb saw me first, and he jumped up, squealing my name over and over, and threw himself into my arms. He gave me a big kiss and said "Know what I think?" I said "What, honey?" He answered "I think you're the most beautiful wady in the whole wide world!". Of course, I'm not, by any means, lol........I was just seen through the eyes of the love of a five-year-old.........:shy: Rachel slipped me a couple of letters that she'd written me, and we sat reminiscing about "the good ol' days". Michael told us all about school - and how much he misses being homeschooled......And they all asked me for hints about the next Opie tale. Jeremiah has the opportunity to take piano lessons from someone at his church, and April is quite angry, because Jeremiah refuses. I talked to him, when April was outside smoking, and Jeremiah told me that he doesn't want to do it, because his Mom wants him to. "My piano playing is for you and Grandma" he said. I talked to him a little about that today, because he has the capacity to be a world class pianist. Rachie has the ability to be a really good pianist - but Jeremiah has that "something" that could take him to a world class level if he WANTS it. So, anyway.....I talked to him, and asked him to consider lessons. Not for his Mom's sake, not for my sake, but for his own. I told him I'd support him in whatever choice he makes, but I sure wish he'd accept the lessons. At this point, though, he doesn't want it at all. He and I had been very much piano-partners. We used to practice every day together on duets, besides his regular practice time. It took a long time for me to be able to sit down at the piano again without crying, so I know how he's feeling. I'd probably do the same thing if I were in his shoes. He's a lot like me, in many ways. All in all, it was a wonderful visit - especially since there were no hospital visits this time!!


And Rhonda, Jake has my prayers for a safe trip. I'm so excited for you!!

For about another hour.

Then I'm back out again for a while. *rolls eyes* But I need to stay busy, busy!

Glad your trip was safe.....just wish those kids were coming home with you......:alright:

Glad everyone is safe and sound.

My guys and I will be heading to Arkansas for a late Christmas with family on Friday(28th). We need good weather and safe travel ....be back on the 3rd....but not before seeing Rhonda on the 1st!!
Maybe we will have some updated pictures for our "Harvest of Friends" thread... See ya soon everyone...and Have a Happy New Year!
