| To a sack of flour!!! My son has to do the flour sack baby project for 5 days. It's actually kind of cute. The teacher gave them these little sacks to put over their bags of flour that have arms and legs on them. Then they made faces on styrofoam balls; Devin made a sleeping face. They covered the balls with stockings, and stretched the stockings over the bags of flour. They also had to dress them. Luckily, we had a few sleepers left from the kids that Kelsey used to use as clothes for her dolls. I was cracking up though, when I had to drop Devin off at school this morning for basketball practice and he had to carry in his "doll". I warned my dad that when he goes to watch Devin's game tomorrow and sees Devin with a "doll", that he is not having some kind of crisis, that he has to carry that thing around for a school project. He also has to pay anyone who babysits 10 cents an hour. I don't think I'll be doing any babysitting for that price! I remember having to do the same thing with an egg that had the yolk and white blown out. I made a little outfit for it and gave it all kinds of hair. There was no way that egg could break! It was a lot of fun though. Has anyone else done anything like this? I am just happy it's not one of those dolls that makes the real crying sounds and everything. That would drive me nuts! | |

| One of my daughters had to care for a teddy bear for a week when she was in 1st grade. She had to write down everything that she did for her "foster baby". She did not let it out of her sight, I mean she even took it to the bathroom. LOL! "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved." | |

- HOW FUNNY PAM!!!! I never had to do anything like that, but we have a girl at church that had to carry around the doll that made the noises. I remember her carrying it in a carrier to church and the thing was usually pretty quiet, but this one time, it started to fuss and she had to feed it, and then the thing BURPED!!!! I thought I was going to lose it and have to crawl under the pew!!!! It was hilarious!!!!! Good luck with the baby.........the Pillsbury Dough Boy would be proud!!!! :Hahaha:
Now that would be funny!! I remember a girl carrying one around in a grocery store, and the doll sounded so real, I was wondering, "Why is she just letting that baby cry like that?" Well, then I saw it's face and saw that it wasn't even real! We'll have to take Devin's flour sack to church and have it sit with us. He's gotta sit up at the alter and acolyte. I'm so glad this thing doesn't cry!!! I'll never be able to cook with that flour after calling it, Michael, for a week!!

| Oh man that is hilarious! Pam, make sure you never talk about baking anything that requires flour in front of Michael, poor darling I never did anything like that although I have seen kids in school do that project using a doll, or an egg LOL but first time I heard of using a sack of flour was in a hannah montana episode... it was too funny how they dressed it. I want to see pictures Pam, you must post them! :haha: | |

| Oh my gosh, that is such a great idea!! I've never heard of anything like it!! ROFL though Pam...you really had me going there for a second! I immediately thought---OMG, HOW old are her kids?!?! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

You were lucky enough, Lily! My elder nephew, Alberto had to care for silk WORMS for a week last year. He is still in Kindergarten. He just loved these worms who were in a big box and he showed them to everyone...I suppose that it's better to be the granny of a doll made from a potatoe bag, than to be one of...worms! :sad5: :faint2: Even if they were silk worms...Poor my sister in law! :alright: Vanesa.

*LOL* I came home after picking my daughter up from her school yesterday, to a message from Devin, asking if he could bring the "baby" up to my daughters school (just around the corner from his school), so that he wouldn't have to worry about taking it to his basketball game. But, I never got the message, so he had to take the "baby" on the bus ride and sit with it through the 7th grade game, until my dad and daughter arrived there. Kelsey said as soon as he got there, he ran the "baby" over to them and said "Here!" and handed it to her and then took off. She was like, "Thanks a lot!" :haha:

But they were silk worms. You just could see them envelopping themselves into a little cocoon of thre silk they fabricate by their own. . .Then, they goes away as butterflies and people takes away the discared coccons just to make wonderful silk clothes...It sounds very nice. But they were just white, fat, cold, awful worms Vanesa.

| In my 9th grade health class they gave us hard boiled eggs we had to watch for 24 hours. They had us draw faces on them. | |

| Haha! Once the basketball team played a prank on the coach so she made them carry bags of flour babies for a week. Even during sprints. | |
