I'd forgotten about that.....

Yesterday, I had my littlest niece, Oliveah with me. She's three, and has a very good vocabulary.

I had her at the store with me, and I had forgotten how loud little ones can be when they ask questions. We were in the cereal aisle......and there was a lady there with five children. They were all fighting and arguing, and the Mom was saying "LOOK WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO THE BREAD!! LOOK AT THAT BREAD!!!". The children were fussing at each other and at their Mom........and Oliveah was watching it all quietly. (I had also forgotten that this "Quietly Watching" is a warning . . . RED FLAG! Move quickly out of the area!! LOL) So, Oliveah was watching the scene quietly, as I was standing there getting a few groceries. Then, Oliveah . . . . in her three-year-old POWERHOUSE voice, asked me,

"Auntie......WHY IS THAT MOMMY FIGHTING WITH HER KIDS?? AND WHY ARE THE KIDS FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER??? AND WHY ARE THEY ALL JUST FIGHTING RIGHT IN THE STORE??"

(Most of the last two sentences, by the way, were spoken by Oliveah as I pushed the cart as quickly as I could out of that aisle. :Hahaha: )

Don't you just love what they come out with sometimes.

Don't kids say the darnest things?! So cute of Oliveah!! She did have a point? It would've been even funnier if she had said: "CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?" :Hahaha:

Never under estimate the powerful voice of the little ones!

When Caleby was almost three, we were at the store, and he saw a woman come in with just shorts and a sports bra on. He gasped, and looked like he was going to start to cry. Then he looked at me, and said sadly, "Oh that poor wady......She doesn't have a shirt! Can I give her one of mine?"
