Has anybody heard of this day???? or is this just in canada??

I've never heard of it...but it sounds like a nice reason to have a holiday

It is a holiday in Ontario only. The premier when he was looking to be elected promised a holiday between Christmas and Easter. Family Day is the result and will always be the third Monday in Feb. Other provinces do not have this holiday. I will be enjoying a day off tomorrow with pay and will spend it visiting family.

Oh, that's cool! When we were growing up, my sisters and I came up with "Sister Day". Unfortunately we haven't kept this tradition up, but we always thought it was strange that there was a Mother's Day and Father's Day, but no Sister/brother day! Whistle

I am enjoying Family Day. Yesterday we celebrated with a breakfast at church with our church family. Today we went to visit 3 aunts and 2 uncles. This afternoon my brother, sil and 3 nephews will be here for a little while. What better way to celebrate a new holiday than with family.

The nephews who I saw yesterday are 16, 14, and 11. The little nephews are 4.5, almst 2 and I have another niece/nephew on the way due in Aug. I really would love to have a niece!!
