Well, I'm still in a country mood ladies, so I've got this for you...
I've always loved this song... I never knew his daughter sang it with him..
This is a Japanese version, but I like it a lot....
Awwww!! Poor Jimmy.
I don't feel too bad for him! He could have kept in touch instead of leaving, her never hearing a word from him, and then him coming back, expecting her to still be waiting...LOL! Where's my pan! (Sorry Pam, didn't mean to sound ugly! )

That was so sad.. Who were the singers?
Conway Twitty and his daughter.
Now ladies, I have another one for you. I've always loved this woman's voice, even though evidently the Pope doesn't like her.
Eh, I'm not Catholic anyway...

I have always liked that song. I heard that Prince wrote.

Yeah, I'll never forget her little stunt on Saturday Night Live! It was like...WHOA!
But man, she's a great singer, and I love that song too. I never knew Prince wrote that, Pam! I'm a fan of his too!!

Excellent explanation. Sums it up very nicely. :Hahaha:
Wasn't Skeeter Davis the one that married Waylon Jennings? Or am I thinking of someone else. 1967! The year I was born..
I don't believe she was married to Waylon, Misti. But Waylon's song's name is Shooter Jennings, maybe that's who you're thinking of? And, I believe Shooter's mother was Waylon's wife, Jessi Colter.
Great songs, as always!

Maybe it's good (in this case, anyway), that you're second-in-command, Rob, as DJ. I love that song!

It might work a tad better with one that's embedding enabled.

All right ladies, I've had a lousy night, so I'm digging deep and going old school, because she calms me....
Skeeter Davis...
Oh, if you only knew how many times I sang this song as a kid, driving my parents and sisters nuts!! I just adored this song! And LOL...it's SOOOOOO sad!! Guess I was a little drama queen even at that young age!
And I always think of Michelle Kwan when she skated to Fields of Gold. It was such a bitter irony that she never won.
