That guy's voice is SO good. Who is that? I've always liked that song, but yeah---pretty sad. It seemed to stop abruptly...was it supposed to end right there? Maybe it's just me.
The part at the end is video of when they found out Princess Diana had been in an accident...
Oh, and I can't remember the lead singer's name, but the group is R.E.M, and the song is "Everybody Hurts"

Oh, R.E.M.---yes!! And whoa, I didn't realize that Princess Di was the focus of the video! So he was actually walking where the accident took place? Wow!

Michael Stipe is the lead singer's name. I had to google it.

Good morning again ladies. I decided I'd go country and less depressing sounding this morning.

Well, Youtube burped today, but they're running along smoothly now, and I'm in charge of the forum evidently.
Let's rock.

Wow, that song sure takes me back! I saw Loverboy in concert a few years ago, and though they looked different (obviously, lol), they still sounded great!

Here's a pretty one. How Can I Tell You, by Cat Stevens.

Wow Rob, that's a great song. And what's freaky is, I was just discussing Cat Stevens at another forum. I'd always thought he'd played this song, and found out I was wrong, it was Buffalo Springfield.

That's understandable, Larry. Their voices are similar.

And another Cat Stevens one, although I didn't see it sung by him. A kid tackles it. He sounds pretty good.

Cats in the Cradle was written and sung by the late Harry Chapin. His voice was also a bit similar to Cat Stevens'.

This might be my favorite Cat Stevens song. In this video, someone set it to their family pictures.
Oh very young, what will you leave us this time? You're only dancing on this earth for a short while. And though your dreams may toss and turn you now, they will vanish away like your daddy's best jeans, denim blue, fading up to the sky. And though you want them to last forever you know they never will, and the patches made the goodbye harder still.
Oh very young, what will you leave us this time? There'll never be a better chance to change your mind. And if you want this world to see a better day, will you carry the word of love with you till you ride the great white bird into heaven? And though you want to last forever you know you never will, and the goodbye makes the journey harder still.
Oh very young, what will you leave us this time? You're only dancing on this earth for a short while. Oh very young, what will you leave us this time?

Yeah, Harry had some good songs. It's a pity he died so young.

Thanks, Rob! I love it!
I wonder if "Cat's in the Cradle" was written about his own experience? I don't think I've ever heard of him. What did he die from?

Not sure about the origin of Cats in the Cradle, Misti. Harry was killed in a car accident in 1981.

I hate to go all on topic or anything (lol), but a good friend played this for me, and I thought y'all might like it. Ladies and gentlemen, Lenny Kravitz.

You only see it in parts of the vid, but he plays this on a 12 string, one of the sweetest sounding guitars ever made. I've got the 6 and the 12, and I'll pick up the 12 every time. It just has a more melodic sound to it.
