I would think that if you changed the water daily it would stay fresh and not attract mosquitos.

Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

I love watching birds. My cats do, too. batEyes

I especially like to watch hummingbirds. Their wings beat so fast
they sort of look like they're in suspended animation

Hey, cool JW!

I've always just used bird feeders. Always kept plenty of birds around that way. A hummingbird feeder is nice too.

When I first saw this thread I wondered if it was the feathered or two-legged birds you were trying to attract, JW! ROTFL

This thread just reminded me of a bird who built a nest in the middle of a bunch of wires from the DirecTV sattelite near the roof at my house :haha:

I don't know if I'm mean to do this... but I had to take the nest down... It just didn't look like a safe place for a next.... what if on a really hot summer day from the heat something sparks up from the twigs... and it burns all the cables... I dont know.. lol It just didn't look right.

I think in the back porch though, there are like 5 bird nests... lol

We have several birds nests under the eaves of our backporch. I spent 15 minutes the other night convincing my mom that the large, lumpy white mass in one of them was not an egg, but actually a piece of bread the clever bird had snatched from the garbage. ROTFL Go figure!
