Does anyone have a good Recipe for banana Bread i have never had Banana Bread but i think it would be good so if anyone has a good Recipe then please can you post it here Wave

Zuchinni bread is wonderful, too, and for those that don't like that particular veggie other than fried (like hubby) this is a wonderful alternative and trust me, they will love it!

Okay........I know you've already been given a Martha Stewart version, but I did promise. LOL........So........Here's the recipe we use - it's very simple, and very tasty!

1 and 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. margarine
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 10 T. sour milk**
2 eggs
3 bananas
3 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together all ingredients. Pour into two well-greased bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

**If you don't have sour milk, you can add a small amount of vinegar to regular milk to sour it.
Also, I add 1 tsp. of vanilla when I make the banana bread. The recipe doesn't call for it, but I like it. grinsmiley

Mmmm... I normally don't like banana's but banana bread is yummy!

Hey, if you are in a hurry and no time to collect all the ingredients......grab a yellow cake mix (add cinnamon and other spices) or spice cake mix......add bananas to them .....you don't need the whole amount of eggs that the mix calls for, just cut one out..........I do this when bananas get ripe and the boys are hollering for banana cake......
