| AGH!! My family just ordered 75 chicks! We are going to raise them for meat. Right now we have 28, so that will give us a total of 103 chickens. We are going to build these things called a chicken tractor. No, its not a tractor pulled by chickens, though that's what I thought it was the first time I heard of it! lol Its a movable pen that you move to a fresh spot on the pasture everyday, and then the chickens have fresh ground to peck at all the time. It grow nice, healthy birds. We are going to build 3, each one with 25 birds in it. So, I have a feeling when we get these birds, I'm going to be tired of hearing them chirp!! ~ Home is the nicest word there is ~

| Wow Farmer Girl! That's a LOT of chickens! Kinda neat about this cool new device you're getting to grow healthy chickens. Do you ever find you get emotionally attached to them? “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| Well, Amy it's kinda hard when they are little cute chicks to think of killing them, but by the time they are ready, they are really big, really mean, and (this may sound bad) I'm kinda glad when they are gone. Ok, lily and rhonda, you can stop with the puns!! And, Larry, I'll save a drumstick for ya ~ Home is the nicest word there is ~ | |

Anybody got a preference? I'm a drumstick man myself. The breast, wing or rib. Just white meat. |

I remember I drove taxi once, and I'd just stopped and got a box of hot wings from KFC. So I pick up a fare, and I'm driving down the road, chewing on a chicken wing. The fare decides he wants some too, and for sharing, he gives me a 20 dollar tip. I went and bought another box.

Well, I don't have KFC biscuits, but I have the kind my Grandmother makes! There better than KFC anyday!! (and I love KFC biscuits! lol) I'm the same way. My Gramma makes one mean biscuit. I don't do bad at making them, but hers have a better flavor. A nice, heavy sucker. Mmmm. Now I'm hungry.

Hmm... that's a mighty large endorsement. I'm willing to believe you, but I'd like to judge for myself, of course. So... say if you were to send, I don't know... maybe about two dozen of your grandmother's biscuits my way? I could then see for myself. Strictly just for verification purposes, of course. Uh, two dozen would give me a good idea as to how good they are compared to other biscuits. Now if she wanted to send more, just to be sure, then I wouldn't object. After all, we do want to be sure. Come to think of it, though, why stop there? KFC has a few other good side dishes, too, and I'm sure your grandmother could easily compete with all of them. Mashed potatoes, cole slaw... I'm willing to bet your grandmother makes the best of those, too. Am I right? Hey, I'm willing to verify those as well, and I'll do it completely for free. Not a single cent in profit. I'll do it just to help you out in proving to the world your grandmother's food is the best. So if it just so happens that she makes anything else to go with the chicken and biscuits, I'd be willing to make a fair judgment on those dishes, too. And any random desserts, as well, come to think of it. I'll leave that to her judgment as to which one. But say maybe cheesecake? I don't know, I'm just throwing an idea out there. Umm... what else? Oh! Does she make good tea? Because I've tasted my fair share of brands, and I'd be willing to give a completely unbiased opinion on how good hers is compared to every other glass I've ever had. So if you were willing to include that as well, that'd be just dandy! Say maybe a gallon's worth? I think that would be enough to make a fair judgment. Just a natural progression of thoughts, I believe. Of course, it's hard for me to think of a topic that wouldn't eventually make its way to food. "Only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain."
