I'm sort of copying Larry w/ his video of the day thread :shy: This will be about song dedications to my prairie pals. They are some of my favorite songs and really make me think or feel better by listening to them and hope it does the same for you. I will post about 3 songs a week.
:headphone: This week I dedicate "Life Will Go On" by Chris Isaak
I like this song a lot because it's encouraging. I think a lot of us can relate to this song. Be it a relationship or something else in your life that was once good but then finished making us hurt, but we just have to keep our heads high, face the world... because... life will go on.... and things will turn up for us.
Lyrics:
Broken skies, heartaches that flowers won't mend Say good-bye, knowing that this is the end Tender dreams, shadows fall Love too sweet to recall Dry your eyes, face the dawn Life will go on Life will go on
All day long thought that we still had a chance Letting go this is the end of romance Broken heart, find your way Make it through, just this day Face the world, on your own Life will go on Life will go on
There'll be blue skies There'll be true love Someday I'll hold you again There'll be blue skies In a better world, darling
Tender dreams, shadows fall Love too sweet, to recall Dry your eyes Face the dawn Life will go on Life will go on
Broken heart, find your way Make it through, just this day Face the world, on your own Life will go on Life will go on

*I decided I'll post about 3 songs a week to get through my list faster... lol
This one is called "God With Us" - by Mercy Me
This song is so amazing.... the meaning of it. It should really makes us feel great to know that God cares for us even though we are insignificant compared to him.... yet... he not only cares but loves us.
Song Lyrics:
Who are we That You would be mindful of us What do You see That's worth looking our way
We are free In ways that we never should be Sweet release From the grip of these chains
Like hinges straining from the weight My heart no longer can keep from singing
All that is within me cries For You alone; be glorified Emmanuel, God with us My heart sings a brand new song The debt is paid, these chains are gone Emmanuel, God with us
Lord, You know Our hearts don't deserve your glory Still You show A love we cannot afford
Like hinges straining from the weight My heart no longer can keep from singing
All that is within me cries For You alone; be glorified Emmanuel, God with us My heart sings a brand new song The debt is paid, these chains are gone Emmanuel, God with us
Such a tiny offering Compared to Calvary Nevertheless, we lay it at Your feet
All that is within me cries For You alone; be glorified Emmanuel, God with us My heart sings a brand new song My debt is paid, these chains are gone Emmanuel, God with us

The last motivational song for this week...
"Thunder in your Heart" by John Farnham
I LOVED LOVED and still do LOVE this song... lol In the 1980s the movie called RAD came out giving BMX quite a bit of fame at the time... A lot of kids went crazy when this movie came out and started doing tricks... including me... lol Anyway, I was in gymnastics and soccer and just listening to this song... really pumped me up to give it my all when I had events or games. My cousins and I would also have karate fights w/ this song playing on the background lol... it was just a very motivational song....
Lyrics:
You're taking a chance, risking it all For the thrill of the moment Taking a stand, you ain't gonna fall You've always known it
They're dying to shake you, Trying their best to break you And though the going is rough, you're going home as a hero
'Cause there's thunder in your heart Every move is like a lightning It's the power you feel when you get your taste of the glory There's a fire gonna start And you know they're going under You can light the dark when they hear your heart of thunder.
Cry of the wind, spirit of fire The heart of a lion Taking control, burning desire Your flame never dying
Don't lose that feeling Don't ever stop believing There's one more moment of truth and you're gonna face it
'Cause there's thunder in your heart Every move is like a lightning It's the power you feel when you get your taste of the glory There's a fire gonna start and you know they're going under you can light the dark when they hear your heart of thunder.
When they hear your heart of thunder.
'Cause there's thunder in your heart And you know they're going under You can light the dark when they hear your heart of thunder.
There is thunder in your heart And you know they're going under You can light the dark when they hear your heart of thunder
