One time I won a free month membership at a gym.

I won a 52 inch flat screen tv a couple of years ago. grinsmiley

The only thing that I can remember winning is two tickets to a play for a local theater group. Somehow, when they mailed them to me, they ended up in the junk mail pile and I didn't relocate them until the day after the last showing of the play! ROTFL

I've won a side-by-side refrigerator, a few door prizes, a book, and a movie in drawings. I think I'm forgetting something else, too.......Shoot. Anyway.....that's mostly it.
And, at our county fair, there's a contest each year on the last Saturday of the fair, where anyone who wants to can come and try to out-crochet (or cross stitch or knit) everyone else. The craft changes from year to year. I've won the crochet and cross-stitch competitions, but I'll never win the knitting. I'm a total dunce at knitting.

I remember one time dahubby & I were at a high school basketball game and played the raffle. It was when were first married, raising a baby, and dirt poor...a particularly bad week, as I recall. We won the $100 raffle! Neither one of us ever wins anything! God was with us! Wink

Oh, lets see... I think the only thing I've won is a jar of black jelly beans. We had to guess the number of jelly beans in the jar and I was right on. :b That's the first time I've ever won anything like that. Usually I'm way off, or really close, but not the closest. Anyway, since I can't stand black jelly beans I promptly gave them away.

Two of my brothers are really good at winning pop. Tom once bought one pop, and won a free pop. Well, he got his free pop and with the free pop he won another free pop! I think he did that one more time! ~laughs~

My parents have won three turkeys. The lumber company giving the turkey away asked my father to come up and pull the name out, and he pulled out mom's name! Dad offered to redraw, but the guy in charge said that he knew that Dad didn't cheat.

Some of the bottling companies run games, and when you open your soda/pop/coke/fizzy drink ( grinsmiley

) you look inside the cap, and may have won a free drink, or some other prize. "YOU HAVE WON A FREE COKE!" My brother seemed to always be able to pick the free ones. I swear, all summer long, he'd turn in one cap, get his free coke - and that one would have a winning cap, too! All summer! I don't know how he did it!

I won 4 tickets to Mickeys Halloween Treat at Disneyland in 1995 on a radio call in show.

Thanks Savannah! Yep, and that was at a time I was doing daycare AND working a second job waitressing, just to make ends meet. It wasn't easy in the early days, that's for sure! But you know what they say, "what doesn't kill ya.... Wink

The only thing I recall winning was a few years ago at a Relay for Life cancer walk. The survivors were given raffle tickets when we first arrived and later on, they had a drawing. My ticket won me a beautiful amethyst cluster ring. Amethyst is a gorgeous purple gem, and since purple is the color for "general" cancer, that is the color used for the relays.....Other than that.....I don't think I won anything else...now my Mother in Law, is a different story, she can walk into a place and win something..... :unsure:

We were right up front. It was a great concert! Hmm..I think it's time to break out my WHAM! cd.

I think I was about 12 or 13 when I entered an essay contest for a local TV station, for Father's Day, I remember my dad was away on a business trip when I received a phone call telling me I won and I couldn't wait to tell him! He won two tickets to a Nascar race and we also got free passes to an amusement park. I've also won a few things off the radio, from being "caller number 10" etc - a CD, a gift certificut for a restaurant, scratch-off tickets, little things like that. One time 2 years ago, I apparently entered a contest at the mall, where I filled out a little form, dropped it in the box and walked away. I say "apparently" because I didn't actually remember doing it, but I did get a phone call telling me I won tickets to see the band The Goo Goo Dolls, LOL. They let all the contest winners go down right in front of the stage at the end of the concert, which was pretty neat. I have a friend though, who actually won a car! My free concert tickets didn't seem to measure up after that!

I used to enter drawings all the time when I was a kid. I really, really, REALLY wanted to win a trip to Disney World. I never did, but I did get a Papermate pen. One summer when I was in college, my family was finally able to go to Disney World for vacation. It was during their 15th anniversary I think. There was supposed to be a winner every 30 seconds. We were there for 5 days with 4 of us going through the turnstiles. I thought we would surely win something. Finally on the last day I was a winner! I got a plastic visor that lights up with "I'm a winner!" printed on it. It wasn't the prize I wanted, but I still have it somewhere.

The only other things I've won are t-shirts from the Oldtime Farming Festival. I enter the jigsaw puzzle contest with my dad, and we win every year.

My husband won a John Deere pedal tractor at the Farming Festival, and he also one a bike at a McDonald's grand opening.

Kara has won about $90 in various contests at the Farming Festival. She won $300 scholarship this year. And yesterday she came home with a beach towel she won at the pool.

When i posted the first time i had only won Window Markers but about 2 weeks ago i won tickets to a Festival they had BUNCH of Rides there but it was only to get in to the gate and it was coupel of hours off so i did't go but i won them lol
