No; don't worry. I already have this scene in my old video tapes. I've recorded them from TV. I just can't enter to the Germa-spoken episode links that were posted by SherlockHolmes. I just wanted to watch them in German. Vanesa.

| Sorry for the problems you had with my post, but as a new member I'm not allowed to post links or e-mails in this forum for the first 7 days. So I just posted the names of the videos, which you can find on youtube, when you are searching there. Just enter the titles on youtube, which I've posted and you will find the videos . |

| Not my favorite episode, but a good one “I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” ― Laura Ingalls Wilder | |

| Great episode. Poor Laura getting neglected by Charles. I admire Caroline for confronting Charles about neglecting Laura and telling him Laura doesn't feel loved or needed. Even though Laura knew Charles loved her, kids want to hear their parents tell them they love them. | |

| That scene was so crucial in some ways, I don't know why they cut it out. I do realize the 3 or 4 minute commercial breaks were only 1 to 2 back then, so they have to trim, but cut a wagon ride or walk..not dialogue.

| If any of you have the Fagin episode on your DVD's, watch it and fast forward to the scene where Carolyn is talking to Laura immediately after she made Laura apologize to Nellie. Listen to what Laura said about Albert. I watched it on Hallmark yesterday and put the close captioning on. It really surprised me that I had missed what she said about Albert. Would really like to get your reactions..... Can't believe I never picked up on it......... Dave "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

| I will, justed wanted people to listen to it before I stated an opinion. "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

| Earlier, I posted a comment about the scene in Fagin when Caroline made Laura apologize to Nellie for punching her. I had never thought of Laura being jealous of Albert because she may have had a little crush on him. And I am certainly not saying that now, but I simply wanted to get some opinions out there. Could it have been possible? Here is exactly what she said to Carolyn upon leaving the Oleson's house. Read it carefully, because for years, I missed a certain line in it. What do you think? Carolyn tells Laura to stop crying, and here is what Laura said: "Nobody cares about me, Nellie gets punched, everybody cares. Fagin gets sick, everybody cares. And Albert, I thought he liked me, but it wasn't ME he wanted, It was PA, MY PA, he doesn't even spend any time with me anymore." | |

| I heard that last time, she says it fast, but she could have meant, since he wasn't her brother to start with, that he liked her as a friend...but then she felt he wanted to steal her Pa from her. They did bond in Winoka when they met..maybe she felt she found someone who really understood how to have fun. Laura was a little like me, liked her dolls, but a tomboy also..I think having a brother to do things with instead of a "don't want to get dirty" sister, was nice. | |

| I Think Laura did like Albert and liked having him as a brother.I just think well PA and albert started bonding he was spending more time with him.So i could see why and understand laura being jealous. She did feel like albert was taking her place.I don't think PA meant to do that.He just want to make albert feel part of the family. “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. | A lot of people were asking about the Albert and Pa scene. I can't find a video, but here are the words.
It`s in the scene when they sleep in the barn and Albert is cold. Pa puts a blancket around him and Albert ask Pa (about Fagin): "Is he gonna make it." and Pa thinks he will. Then the missing scene:
A: Do you like being called Mr. Ingalls? C: I never thought about it. It's my name. A: Well everybody doesn't call you that. C: No, no, some folks call me Charles, some just Ingalls. In the city most of the time they say ''hey you''. (laughs) A: See, the reason I was wondering is, well, that at school they ask me what I call you. And Mr. Ingalls sounds sort of stuffy. C: Oh, you can call me Charles. A: No, I'm just a kid that wouldn't be right. C: Let's see, what about Uncle Charles? A: Nooo, when I was in the orphanage this big kid Raymond used to grab my arms and put his foot in my stomach and pull until I said "uncle". C: (laughs): I'm not blaming you for not liking that one. A: You know, it might make things easyer, for the kids in town and all, if I called you "Pa". (short silence, music starts) C: Is that all. I... I thought you gonna think up something hard I have to spell or something. A: Then it's alright? C: It's fine with me (close-up Alberts face) A: (smiles) Thanks Mister Ingalls. (wispers) I mean....Pa... (short silence, they look at each other, smiling) C: Now try to get some sleep. A: (sigh) I might close my eyes just for a little bit. He lays his head on Pa's chest. Pa hugs him a little, smiles and is close to tears.
Sorry I couldn't get the actual video.
