Newbie here...was just a lurker

Hi all, my name is Anna. I'm 34, married and a mom of 3 (Noah-10, Kaleb-6 and Skylar-22 months) . We live in So. California. I'm a born and raised Cali girl. I have enjoyed reading the boards for a long time now and decided to join instead of just lurking around. Read the series of books when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. And read some of the other books on Laura when I was pregnant with my last one. :haha: I have a few of the sets of dvds and will pull them out to watch here and there. My 22 month old actually enjoys watching with her Mama. Aside from this, I collect Strawberry Shortcake dolls, some Marie Osmond dolls, Holly Hobbie, Disney stuff and a bunch of other things. We are a big Disney family as well.
And an interesting side note, oldest read one of the Little House stories last school year. It was actually in their 4th grade reading book. He told me right away they were reading it too.

Thanks. My name I took from my love of Strawberry Shortcake and one of my favorite Disney Villians, Evil Queen. With Strawberry Shortcake, her and her friends would do what was called berry talk. Instead of very it would be berry. I'm sure my kids at times think I am an evil one but hey what can I say. It means I must be doing something right. :haha:

Welcome, Anna!! I am also a HUGE Disney fan!! Especially the princesses. My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves them! I'm glad that you finally decided to post. You'll really enjoy this board.

Welcome Anna.....Love the name.......When I was younger, my nickname was Strawberry Shortcake.......One: I am a redhead, and Two: I am short....... :haha: Oh and, I am a Cali Girl as well, been transplanted to Arkansas, but my roots still run deep in Southern California, in fact, for a while, I lived about 20 minutes from the "Happiest Place on Earth"

Thank you all so berry (shortcake talk) much for the warm welcome! I am so happy to see that there are those that have a love of Shortcake too...as well as Disney. My little girl is only 22 months but already knows her princesses when she sees them and has a big love for Tink. She is also sassy like Tink and will tell you so. LOL I love coming across others that are in my area, know it or lived here at some point or another. I'm actually one of those So. Cali girls from the Valley. LOL I only lived were I do know cause its were my husband lived before we got married and it was much cooler here then living in the valley. LOL Plus closer to Disneyland.

LOL Thanks for warning Misti. I have been on a few boards that well....weren't nice either at all or after awhile. So I am glad to be here with a board that when I have read it just always seemed full of nice, friendly people. I look forward to getting to know everyone here.
