Hey Carol, that was great. But Megan looks a lot older in this video than Anne did on screen. I'll have to watch the movies again soon.

A drawing of AOGG by Nathan Clark (I got it from Megan Follow Facebook site)
"Green Gables...yonder." Drew this from a captured image, using a biro / scan / and color with photoshop. Anne looks almost morose as she approaches her new home; worried she might be plucked from the dream at any moment. I love Anne and Matthew's relationship.

Me, too. Remember that picture that you used to have of Anne leaning into Matthew in the sleigh, Carol? I want to do a drawing of that someday.

Every little girl needs a father figure like that, if its not her Dad. Matthew really stood up for her.

I love Anne of Green Gables - the books and the first two movies. Hate the third movie, as it is way too far off from the books and Gilbert is not in it enough anyway. I didn't know there is a fourth movie? But I do sometimes want to slap Anne for not just realizing Gilbert is the one for her!

What was the fourth movie about? What I feel like I remember of the third one (probably because I only watched it once, but I have the first two on VHS tapes and love them) is that Anne seemed to just be searching for Gilbert, who had become a doctor during WW1, which did not make sense because if I remember in the books, it was one of their sons who went off to join WW1. I have not read the whole series for a long time, though.

Here is a drawing of a 5 year old girl named Sidney. She's a fan of the Animated series. Too cute
(From the Sullivan Site) Our Anne fans have always been so open about their appreciation for the movies and books, but it is particularly special when you see that enjoyment in young children. We wanted to highlight the piece of artwork above, created by Sydney Norrie, age 5, who is a big fan of the Anne of Green Gables Animated Series (Annetoon).

Actress Schuyler Grant, who played Diana, was originally recommended to Kevin Sullivan for the role of Anne by her Great-Aunt Katharine Hepburn – one of America’s most famous leading ladies. Already slightly redhead, with greenish eyes, Schuyler did seem to look the part, as can be seen in these photos.
*** Interesting ha? Schyler did so good as Diana though and I can never imagine anyone else playing Anne than Megan lol

I think Schuyler as Diana is beautiful....I don't recall ever knowing that her great-aunt was Katharine Hepburn! Is that really Schuyler in those first two photos? She looks so different to me!
I'm reading Anne of Ingleside now....I hate that Gilbert seems to not be in the book very much and also that he lets that Aunt Mary Maria run the household. I think I mainly like the series when Anne is younger, not so much when she has all the kids of her own.

Oh wow Carol, I never knew that about Schuyler! Thanks for posting those pictures! She makes the perfect Diana though....I LOVE the character or Diana...probably as much or more than Anne!
