Knitters?

I'm very much a novice at knitting......So, would someone here happen to know enough about knitting to know if this is a relatively simple pattern? I've never used circular needles, so, that might factor in. :think:

It's been forEVER since I knitted........and as far as helping out......I'd probably make it worse.......like a cat playing with the yarn..........it'd be ALL over the place.....

Savannah, all I know is that my mom knits a lot, and although that doesn't look TOO complicated, it doesn't exactly look easy either. I would take a pic of it into a craft store like JoAnne Fabrics and see what they would say about it. My mom taught me to knit last year while we were at camp, but then I didn't pick it back up and forgot how to do it! You know that saying, 'you don't use it, you lose it!' Whistle

I think you did a GREAT Job i can't see a Diffrents in them yours Looks Just as Good as the othere one

Ok I have nothing good to offer here. BUT I do want to know the difference in knitting and cocheting. I have asked a few people who tell me cocheting is easier. I want so bad to learn. ALso , what do I need to get started. DUH....yarn and needle.....but what size...??

Thank you, Jacob . . . . But the picture I posted is one that someone else made. I was just trying to see if it's a simple enough pattern for a beginner. I heard from a friend of mine in South Carolina, who knows knitting, and she said she thinks it would be. She says that circular needles actually make it easier, because it keeps your project from falling off the needles. grinsmiley

I do believe I'll give it a try. If I can't do it, then I'll at least have given it my best.

Gin, I found crocheting to be a lot faster, which is why I'm better at it. I'm not patient enough for most knitting projects. But I really want this one. :shifty: Crochet is more versatile for me, but knitting looks better in most sweaters.
