Here's an interesting fact about The Wizard of Oz. The producers seriously considered cutting the scene of Judy singing Over the Rainbow.

Some of the execs at MGM thought that it went against the studio's glamorous image to show a girl singing a song in a barnyard. Luckily, wiser heads prevailed.
