| Do any of you have any OCD or OCD tendencies, habits, etc? If you don't know what OCD is, click HERE Okay, I usually find myself double checking to see if I locked the doors. It's weird... I check only once... but 8 out of 10 times I will check. I lock the door... go do something.. then I start to worry a little and go back to double check.... I do that at work too. I think my friend's son may have some. He's 3 and loves cars. He likes to line them up neatly and if someone messes them up, he will NOT like it. | |

| I was just telling my dad this today, Carol. I'm always checking to see if I locked the door, turned off the curling iron. I check on my kids several times during the night. I could go on for hours. |

I'll remember that if I ever have you over for dinner. :P

So it takes you nine hours to eat dinner? Wow! I do have some strange habits, where things on my desk have to be arranged a certain way at work - in fact, I keep most things on my desk at home organized a certain way, too. I have to have certain windows on the computer open and in order on the taskbar (email, software I use most often) also at work. I blame my work in the store for this organization though - I worked mostly in the stockroom where things had to be organized, so I've applied it to almost everything else, LOL. Another odd thing - I tend to not like things in patterns of 3 - ie 6, 9, 12, etc. For instance, if I have to walk 3 steps to get somewhere, I'll take an extra one to make it 4, etc - pretty weird, even to me!

| Rhonda, you are so right. I know what I have are more habits or cause I just got "mommy brain" and didn't remember if I did whatever or not so I do the double check. Besides I have to do the double check of things locked around here or windows closed before bed cause some in this house do not shut the front door all the way cause of how it is or I have at times found a window open. But really all the other things I might have to do a certain way is just habit or like with towels and shirts and how they are folded...its cause its the only way they will fit in where they go at this point. LOL I have heard some talk about their OCD issues and it was bad. They can't leave a room if things aren't just so. It could be a little piece of a rug not laying right or a smal speck of dirt somewhere and to most of us it would be like whatever but to them it is not right. The guy that hosts Food Network's Unwrapped has a form of it. He has talked about it before and he was that way. I was surprised to learn this cause he had hosted a show on Nick called Double Dare and at times got messy and yet he really couldn't stand it. BTW, Carole, the thing with the 3yr old and the cars, its something both my boys did at about 2-3 yrs old. Its normal for most kids to do that. If they have ones that are the same car they might match them in the line together or by color. Mine both did that stuff. Its a sort of learning thing. LOL |

| OCD is an illness and people are effected by it should get help profesionally. Mines are just some annoying habits, maybe to others seem strange. LOL I know I'm very anal in some ways. I'm just very particular with details on some cases in order to have effective outcomes. Although strangely enough, I'm not a very detailed person when it comes to wrapping gifts. I actually hate wrapping gifts. I always leave that task for my Mom to do. LOL! "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved." | |

I have OCD. Numbers are a big thing for me. Whenever I see a group of numbers - on a license plate, a digital clock, etc. - I have to add them up. And Christina, I also have certain "bad" numbers. I'm not crazy about 10, 12 or 15.
