I agree. I think it depends on the level of selfishness in a person, rather than their age. Some of the girls I knew who married young, and started a family right away were too self-centered to really be good mothers. They thought of themselves first, and their children came last. But, there were others who were more mature, and realized that you only have one chance to be a good parent, and they were awesome Moms. There's a couple in my church who are 71 years old, and raising (adopted) children yet, and they are amazing parents. They're fun, energetic, loving, yet firm - and the kids couldn't possibly be happier. I think it has much more to do with the people than the age, myself. IMHO. | |
