| Yesterday - or maybe the day before...I lost my voice. (Don't ask me where I lost it, because I don't know.  ) Early today, I at least had a whisper, but now that's not even there. Well, anyway.......Early this afternoon, while I could still whisper, I got a phone call from a political party. The woman on the line asked if I would help to get out the vote for __________. Well, since I'm not voting for him, that would seem unlikely.  I answered her, and she said "Could you speak up? I can't hear you."  Yeah. So, I tried to speak a little louder - which was just not going to happen. Finally, she figured out that I had lost my voice, and she quickly hung up. Just a couple of minutes later, the same woman called again. "Hi, I'm calling for _______ and I'd like to know if we can count on you to help us get out the vote for ___________ " When I started to reply, she said "Oh my gosh! You're not going to believe this, but the last lady I talked to had laryngitis, too!" :Hahaha: | |
