| Hello, all.
I think someone answered this for me before, but I can't find it. Sorry to be a bother.
Which episode featured both Lindsey and Sidney Greenbush? I just saw a fanvid on Youtube with a scene in which one was Carrie, and I think the other was an angel dressed in white. A dog, maybe Jack, was running toward them atop a "cloud".
I've never seen this episode that I can recall.
If anyone has the full episode uploaded online, would you please share it with me? I'd love to see it. If not, please just give me the episode title, and I'll try to find it online. I'm sure it'll be a tough job for me as I'm thinking this is a rarely seen/aired episode.
Thanks. | |

| I didn't like that episode, but it was the ALL about Carrie, and that didn't happen a whole heck of a lot. (Episodes about Carrie) Ohter one I can think of is when she fell down the mine shaft. |

| No kidding, in one episode she makes up imaginary friends and in the other she spends most of the time in a well. I watched "A Christmas They Never Forgot" while we put up the Christmas tree, and there is whiny Carrie asking if Santa is going to die in the storm and later on she whines to her father that it's Christmas morning. They really should have let her grow up and dedicated an episode to her when she was older, perhaps struggling with Cassandra's presence instead of having Albert angry over James being around all the time. | |

Totally agree...they kept her 'little' for waaaaaaaay too long. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| I never really looked at Carrie as whiney, but I do think it would have been nice to see Carrie, Cassandra and Grace spin off into another Mary, Laura and Carrie. Then they could have brought in Carrie's interest in writing (newspaper business). Maybe Cassandra picks up on a talent her own Ma had and Grace eventually meets Nathan Dow. There was all kinds of ways to build on the books and keep the characters we have going. I would have loved to have had a tv movie of THE LONG WINTER. ----Cant do that one in a 1 hour episode! | Maybe a certain writer needs to do a story that ....say.....starts as maybe the thoughts of each of the Ingalls . Expressing their fears, hopes and longings for fresh air.? Wonder who might want to do that....? LOL It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. That's an interesting way to look at the situation. | |

| It's disappointing to me that Carrie's character was never developed as she got older. She delivered a lot of cute one-liners when she was little, like "And I can milk the cows" and "Happy birthday, Baby Jesus", but a viewer needs a lot more than that from an older child. I always thought Carrie should have been doing some of the things Cassandra was doing. When Cassandra went to read to Mrs. Oleson when she was depressed over Nellie and Percival leaving town, I thought Carrie should have been the one to try to cheer up Mrs. Oleson. And it should have been Carrie, not Cassandra (or Jenny), that had a rivalry with Nancy.
BTW, the reason "The Godsister" is so rarely shown is it's a 90-minute episode, so it doesn't fit well into most TV channel's schedules. Hallmark occasionally shows the 90-minute episodes on Saturday mornings. | |

| Do you think that ML didn't write episodes featuring Carrie because the Greenbush girls were not natural actresses? I sometimes wonder if they were given acting lessons and an opportunity to improve in their acting or if they were not really that interested or what. If they were not truly interested in acting enough to be cast in a larger role, then I wish that they had been replaced with an actress who was wanting to really work at it. But that may have been an awkward situation for ML to deal with, if he had to essentially fire them? I feel like if they had gradually been given larger and larger parts, and if someone had worked hard with them, they could have developed into fine actresses and the show could really have featured Carrie in a lot more episodes. | |
