I got my student teaching assignment

And it's at a Head Start program, just like I wanted it to be, so I am very happy!! It'll be two mornings a week, starting later this month. I would love it if this eventually turned into a job, but I'm not going to let my hopes get too high yet. So now I have to call the program to make an appointment to come in and see the classroom and meet the kids. I can't wait! :woohooo:

Great news, Pam! Congratulations!

It's at a Head Start program, ingallsfan. It's basically a preschool program for low income families, funded by the government. It's a little more involved than a regular preschool program because they also provide healthy meals for the children, are big on parent involvment, and do home visits to get a better understanding of the home environment so that we can be more supportive to each families needs. I would love to work for a Head Start program once I have my degree.
