Subject: Saturday Mornings Cartoon Tribute Sat Jan 10, 2009 1:07 am
Here is a nice video I found ... a tribute to the 80s Saturday Morning Cartoon.... man.. those were the days. I am so happy to have experienced it... kids these days sure missed out on those neat cartoons. There were so many good cartoons to see that Friday evening... my cousin, brother and me would have a "cartoon meeting", yes we called it that.. lol I had the newspaper and would decide on what show to watch each 1/2 hour... and I would write it down in the notebook... this way, we avoided any fights because we had agreed what to watch. Then, came Saturday morning, and we were up at 5:30 AM, with a cereal bowl in front of the TV
Here is the tribute video:

Muppet Babies! The Chipmunks! Pound Puppies!!! Oh. My. Word. Pee Wee Herman! :Hahaha: Schoolhouse Rock....Wow. My little brother and I used to watch a lot of those! I remember there being an argument in my class at school over which cat was better - Garfield or Heathcliff. :Hahaha:
Thanks, Carol! That was fun!

From the 60s to the 90s... the cartoons were awesome! Now... not so much as before... lol And boy where there cartoons to choose from! And NO need for cable either! Check out these videos posted by disneyfan85.... tributes to cartoons shown on ABC, CBS & NBC. You can see why it was a good idea to decide which cartoons to watch the night before... lol

Ah, The Littles! I remember that one! A lot of those in that tribute one weren't ones I'd watched, but my son did, so I'm feeling OLD! LOL!
I was a Bugs Bunny Road Runner girl myself...I could never get enough of that! It really doesn't get better than Sylvester and Tweety!
They were awesome---I was in a "Madrigal" group in high school---20 select guys and girls, and we did a lot of songs like this. I especially loved when the guys had their own special pieces. This looked like maybe a college group? How did you find this????
