For our friend...

I got a phone call from a good friend of ours this morning saying that her husband (one of my hubby's closest friends), was in a car accident on the highway. She asked if she could bring her 3 year old son to me this morning. She had no idea at the time the condition her husband (Anton) is in. I have their son right now, and am still awaiting a phone call from her. If you could please say a prayer for Anton, that he is ok, I would appreciate it.

I hate the waiting game! 10 minutes seem like 10 months. My thoughts and prayers are with Anton and his family.

Thank you Susie and Teresa. My hubby called a few minutes ago with a quick update. Anton's wife JUST got in to see him and I guess he's going in for a CAT scan. That is ALL I know at this point...Anton's best friend called Bill (my hubby) and told him about the CAT scan, but he didn't know anything about his physical condition yet either. I hope to hear something soon!!!

Prayers for Anton and his family. Having to wait for the doctor and tests results is such a bummer......

After working with attorneys and personal injury cases, they seem to drag on about as long too. I hope he will look into finding a good attorney if he needs one......injuries leave such an impact on the rest of your life......he'll need some kind of compensation......

Yeah, me too. He is not 'well to do' at all, and I really don't know if he has a great insurance policy---I highly doubt it. I know he was driving an old, beat-up car too. This is driving me crazy...I was really thinking I'd hear something by now!! Bill just called me from work to see if I knew anything more---he hasn't heard anything either. A CT scan is really fairly routine if they have any doubts that he hit his head, so that doesn't really tell us much. I just wish I knew how severe this was...

Well, Anton and his wife just came by to pick their son up!! Anton is doing well...he's pretty bruised and scraped up, and he had to get staples in his head, but other than that he's doing quite well!! Thank the Lord!! I don't know what happened exactly on the highway (how the accident occured) but I didn't want to bother either of them with the details right now. I'm sure Bill will find out eventually. Bill is in a training today so it's been stressful already because of that (for a job he HATES), and then the 'not knowing' about his friend made it even more stressful I'm sure. I just left him a message so at least his mind will be at ease now.

And Rhonda, they also have a 7 year old daughter...Anton's wife was going to send her to me too, which would have been fine, but I suggested she keep her in school with her friends and normal routine to keep her mind off her dad. She agreed with me and that's what they ended up doing. I'm just so happy that this day has had a happy ending! Thumbsup
