Janette Oke's series latest book to movie

I was in Wal-Mart the other day and I saw the latest Janette Oke movie out, "Love's Unfolding Dream." I don't know if it had been advertised on the Hallmark Channel; so I'm assuming it was a "straight to DVD" movie. And, as we suspected, "Belinda" is the lead character in the movie but in this version she is the adopted daughter of Missie and not the daughter of Clark/Marty like in the book series. I don't know if I will even watch it if it was on TV. They have messed things up so badly.

And in the last few movies, I have not liked the "Marty" in it. Well, I looked it up and Marty will be played by the woman (I think the Australian one) in Transformers & Transformers 2.

I wonder why they felt it necessary to change who her parents were. That's just stupid. I only watched the first two movies. I liked the first one very well, but the second one I didn't like as much, and I haven't bothered with any of the others.

I wonder, too, if Hallmark didn't get high enough ratings for the last of the movies that they aired, and that's why it went straight to DVD? :think:

Do you know, Savannah, if it has aired or been advertised on Hallmark? According to IMDB, the girl playing "Belinda" wasn't available for the next in the series, so Hillary Duff's sister, Hailey, will take over the part next.

Love's Unfolding Dream has been out for sometime already my Mom got it for Mothers Day from my Sister in law I have never read the Books so i thought the Movie was really good i have seen all of them so far i have liked all of them but of course those that have read the books don't agree with me

Anyways i was looking around on Imdb and i found out that Love Takes Wing and Love Finds a Home are both coming out in 2009

ugh i have to agree with all of u. i hate how they did these movies. the books were soo good. they didn't need to change them. i am/will not watch the new ones. i like the first and second one. i am very angry about them changing these.

I'm guessing that maybe the Duff woman wasn't available for more than one of the movies? I think I'm going to leave well enough alone & stop with the ones that I have already seen. It quickly went off course & I didn't care for that.

I've seen these. Not sure I'm crazy about the fact they used people like Duff. SHe almost looks "too pretty" for this role. Know what I mean? I know there are thousands of actors that would love to fill this spot and do it just as well as her.
I have nothing against her, but I just think that someone would need to have a more rustic look or just not be as well known for such roles.
Hope I'm not dodging tomatos .....

I think I want to stick with Michael L. Jr. He knows that family shows have to continue to be clean for our next generation of kids to really leave with "the moral of the story."

I haven't read the books but have seen the first 3 movies and they have all been good, clean movies. I have heard they differ a lot from the books with each susequent movie but that doesn't bother me as long as they are good to watch family viewing :)
