Despite Rob referring to me as a vicious virtuoso, I will indeed make. . . . . Post number 20,000. Good grief. :Hahaha: You all are the sweetest people in the world, you know that?

For post #20,000, I have an Opie tale.

Since Opie is only a little over a year old, everything in spring is new to him. We've had the windows winterized, and the doors closed all winter long - and through early spring, too. It's too cold to do anything else. But this past weekend, it was gorgeous out! It was sunny, 77 degrees and nice enough to open up the house. So we had the front and back doors both open, and it was SO wonderful to be able to do that after so long having things closed up! So, I was sitting at the table, enjoying a cup of coffee, when I saw Opie tear through like a little bolt of lightening. He raced to the back door, and looked out it for a while, keeping a watchful eye on the back yard.........A few minutes later, he made a little gasping sound, and took off full speed again - this time, heading for the front door. He did this over and over again for the longest time! It was like he was trying to be "Guard dog" for both doors at the same time. Finally, as he was running toward the back door again, something caught his eye, and he stopped in his tracks.........He saw a patch of sunlight on the floor. He walked over to it, flopped down with a great dramatic groan, and quickly fell asleep. :Hahaha: Obviously, all of that guard duty took a lot out of the little fella.

It WAS a gorgeous weekend, and now we're in the 40's!!! Then by Friday, we're supposed to be in the 80's and sunny, did you hear?!?! Although I'm looking forward to it (and LOVE opening up the house too), these weather changes are a recipe for illness in my house! JUST when I'm finally getting over a cough, we're right back to this up and down stuff. Not good!

I know what you mean! With the weather changing so rapidly, there's illness going around like crazy. Sniffles, coughs, sneezes and wheezes.....Sounds like a TB ward at my church!
