- So sorry to hear about your losing your dog Krissy :alright: . I have lost several pets during my lifetime and every time it's so hard.
It's like losing your best friend! They love you unconditionally. They don't judge you and are happy just to sit with you. i know...wish ppl were more like that |

| Wow... sorry to hear this. I had a Shih Tzu (Zack) that was sick and we had to put him to sleep on Christmas Eve 2004. It was so hard. We had him before we had our boys. He was 14. We picked a favorite spot to bury him, so the boys could visit him from time to time. We now have his picture in a framed ornament on our Christmas tree every year. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Thanks....He had heartworms. If you all are not using a heartworm preventive look into it. I did not realize til it was too late how important it was to do so. The treatment is like Chemo, and at 14 yrs of age the treatment alone would have killed him. Therefore we could only put him on the preventative to keep the worms from increasing in number. He lived 6 months after diagnoses. Lesson learned. Now my Heidi takes hers every month including Advantage. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. | Ya don't stress over it. Just learn from it as I have. Regular vet visits are a must. Its alot like taking care of a child. (But they are so much more loyal!) LOL I recently brought home a small dog that was VERY pregnant. I knew she was close to having the pups, but didn't have the food and shelter she needed. I knew I didn't need another dog right now, so I called a rescue place that took care of vet care and have sent her to a Doctor and his wife that houses about 8 animals at a time til they find good homes for them. April 18th...just six days after I brought her home she had 6 babies!! If I hadn't gotten her to the rescue place i would be loving a total of 8 dogs (my one included) right now. She was so sweet, but I know that I am limited on how much I can spend on vet bills annually. Maybe you can look into some rescue places in your area, and find one that needs your good home. :Snoopy14: It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. | Rainbow Bridge When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
