| I saw Mommy feed them. They are so cute. Wish they stayed white like that.... Not sure what was on the menu, but I probably don't want to know! :CoolSign: It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. | I have that link bookmarked and watched it faithfully. I have some tragic news, and will post this in white in case some of you don't want to know: Tragically, on Monday morning, the smaller eaglet called "Echo" became entangled under his mother's feathers and when the mother flew away, was dropped from the nest. There is a message board on the site and the people who were watching this 'live' were freaking out. I am so glad I didn't witness this. I thought I should let you guys know in case you're following this site like I am and go on and see just the other eaglet, who is called "Hope". The scientists believe that one of the eaglets excavated (pooped!) under the mom at some point, and the excrement forms a strong 'binding agent', which got stuck to the mother's feathers, and around Echo's neck. People watched for a long time (at least an hour and half) while mama tried to free Echo from underneath her. Hope's cries for food gave her the instinct to fly and hunt (or else she could have been desperately seeking a way to free Echo), and the first time miraculously Echo returned safely to the nest. It was the second flight out that people saw him fall. The scientist heading this up found him with no signs of life. Nature can be so cruel!! The scientists said they'd never seen anything like this. Mom and dad stayed close to Hope after that, and there was a lot of screeching going on throughout the afternoon...obviously in mourning. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
