The 1953 sci-fi classic Robot Monster. The robot monster is played, naturally, by a guy in a gorilla suit wearing a diving helmet. Watch it... if you dare!

Whoa...that was some scary stuff right there! That's one great moment in film.
Carol, I'll never forget sitting in the theater at age 13, watching ET and experiencing that scene. I adored that movie, and saw it 6 times in the theater, LOL!
Here's a great moment in film for Molly Ringwald. You need only watch the first couple of minutes to get the idea, but if you watch the whole 8 minutes you're in for a real treat. Great acting!

Here is one of my favorite scenes from the movie "Steel Magnolias".
This scene takes place at a funeral where M'Lynn (played by Sally Fields) is upset about her daughter's death.

I love that movie too, Teresa. One of my favorite scenes is when Brody, Quint and Hooper are below deck at night, and Quint is telling about being on the U.S.S. Indianapolis when it was sunk in shark-infested waters. I always thought Robert Shaw should've gotten an Oscar for that scene alone.

Here's one more clip that SHOULD have made it to the big screen. LOL!! I couldn't resist posting this, yet again. Okay, I'll be serious, now.

I was probably too young when I saw The Birds, too. Some of those images stayed with me for a long time - like when they showed the man with his eyes pecked out.

Okay I have one......The Blob. Remember that one? I can still see that thing coming through vents. I was about 7 when I saw it. I was at my aunts house over a Thanksgiving gathering and no one was paying attention to what all of us kids were watching. That night I was too scared to sleep. I imagined The Blob eating my skinny legs! I was such a wimp..... :faint2:

Sure! Steve McQueen's first starring role, if I remember rightly. And his girlfriend was played by Aneta Corsaut, who later played Helen Crump on The Andy Griffith Show.

Maybe they're cousins.
Thanks for the warning, Amy! If it were broad daylight, I might watch.....but I'd like to be able to sleep tonight.

Ah, sleep is overrated.
On the subject of spiders... (Savannah, you knew this was coming!)... did you guys know that daddy longlegs are not really spiders? They're an arachnid, but they belong to a different order. They're called Harvestmen.
Cool!

Rob, you remind me of my hubby....how do you know these little random bits of information?!
All I know is that if I see a daddy long leg, it's going to get SQUASHED.
