| Everything looks wonderful, Carol! You've done a great job, as usual. I know everybody was crazy about my homemade cranberry sauce last year, so I made sure to save some: | |

| For luxury picnickers, I've brought along a nice selection of foods. I couldn't decide which pie I should bring, so I brought a few: apple strawberry and my all-time favorite strawberry rhubarb | |

| Well, I didn't have time to do much, since I didn't think I'd be able to make it, so I brought along a pitcher of iced tea I made to share. Everything looks great. | |

I figured people didn't eat much because they wanted to make sure there'd be plenty left for Founder's Day.

- Cheryl your pies look fabulous! Which one are you entering in the contest?
Probably the strawberry ruhbarb. Unless I decide to hide behind the bandstand and eat it all myself.

I figured people didn't eat much because they wanted to make sure there'd be plenty left for Founder's Day. LOL Okay, well... I'd better get rid of it ... hand some out to our fellow picnickers (is that a word? lol) Here is everyone who tasted some This little girl just saw me coming with the sauce... I didn't have the heart to make her taste it This little boy first had a taste Cheryl & Savannah's pie, but I told him he couldn't leave the table until he at least tasted a little bit of the cranberry sauce.... I feel bad :( This little boy was about to enter the potato sack race, but I told him Rob's cranberry sauce might give him a little energy. After he tasted it, he said, "If THIS is what energy tastes like, I don't want any of it" hahaha... This girl accidentally got a big spoonful of the sauce in her mouth... ooops! I had given this little girl a taste a little while back and I noticed she kept picking at her mouth. I asked her what was wrong. She said, "I'm trying to take the sauce out of my mouth" :( lol Well, good news Rob! You probably won't have to store this for the next event... looks like it's about 1/2 way gone! lol

| I think I'll skip the food and just go fishin'. Maybe you can help me clean them later Rob. :fishing: It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Wonderful picnic Carol!! You are the BEST!!! Does anyone have a glass of ice water? Ahem, Rob's avatar is making me a little...warm. Great pictures everyone!! Gosh, I want to GO to that bridge Savannah!!! In my area, it's a PERFECT day for a picnic---75 and gorgeous!! A nice little breeze too. Anyone for some kite flying? Or how about an old fashioned baseball game? And I'm entering my world strawberry jam against Caroline and Mrs. Oleson. Think I'll win? I don't know...not sure I stand a chance again that Mrs. Foster!! Hope there's enough apple pie for everyone! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Homemade ?! I'm impressed, Rob. How do you get the ridges in it to look just like the canned kind?
