| AVG Free EditionIf you click that link above, it will take you to CNET where you can download AVG's free edition. It isn't a trial version, and can be updated regularly. It works very, very well. There's also something called Ad-Aware that you can download for free at CNET, and it will remove spyware and adware:Ad-AwareAND....There's Spybot. Also a free program:SpybotThese are all great programs for helping to keep your computer problem-free. They've been a HUGE help to me. When you click on the links, toward the upper left side of the page, directly under the name of the download, you'll see a small green box with kind of a down-arrow in it. That's the box you need to click on. I'm not trying to be condescending by telling you that, by the way.  There are several other programs being advertised for sale on the pages as well as the free ones I mentioned, and it can get confusing to find which box to click for the free downloads.I hope those help you! | |

| the antivirus software I tried yesterday didn't work. is it possible for people to be able to find out the passwords to the accounts I visit or any personal info from my family's computer since we don't have antivirus on it right now? | |
