So.... my dad is on crutches because he had foot surgery (Cheilectomy) What NOT to do while using crutches... Castsmile

He had never used crutches before and I noticed he was using them wrong. We were in the backyard and then I decide to be cool What NOT to do while using crutches... Cool2

and show him how to properly use the crutches. I start out good and then decide to go a little faster and didn't notice that the tile floor was wet. When the crutch lands there it slips and I go out flying and fall down hard and hit the right side of my face on a chair! I closed my eye thank goodness! I felt like someone gave me a good punch in the eye. What NOT to do while using crutches... Imoksmiley

I now have a small bruise on my eyelid and another one about 1/2 inch to the right side of my eye. I kept an icepack on my face for about an hour, it got swollen a little but thank goodness for the icepack... not so much. It still hurts a little when I touch it, but I think it will be okay What NOT to do while using crutches... Blackeye3
