| My husband got the kids a drumset. It was supposed to be for my son, who has been interested in getting one, but my daughter is loving it too. I'm posting on here, with drums banging in my ear, right behind my head. HELP!!!! Oh, and I failed to mention that I've got "We are the Champions", by Queen, blaring out of the speaker, which is right over my head, all at the same time. Can you say, HEADACHE! | |

| Oh my........*Savannah passes Pam earplugs, and an invitation to come over for coffee* When I was a teen, my across-the-road-neighbor's son played drums for several years. I could hear it loud and clear all the way up in my room. I sure feel for you, Pam. Rhonda......all I can say is......what a Mom! :faint2: | |

| I have a drummer too. For years he was upstairs pounding away, occasionally knocking pictures off the wall. I should have bought stock in a picture frame company. At least now he practices with his band somewhere else. Of course, the bits and pieces of his unused drum set sit in a pile on the floor of the bonus room, but that is a small sacrifice to make for peace and quiet. | |

TWO drumsets?!?!?! Oh my!!! *LOL* I have to admit, Rhonda, I was thinking of you as I was typing my post out. :haha: I think that we're going to have to rethink the drumset right behind the computer though. I think they'd be awesome at my parents house!

Rhonda......all I can say is......what a Mom! :faint2: Jumping in my car, headed for peace and quiet at Savannah's house. Thanks for the earplugs! *LOL* Yes, I am thinking of my neighbors too. Right next-door lives an older woman who was traumatized a couple summer's back by a neighbors son who plays drums, and the band would practice in thier garage. Really loud too. I have to admit, I was annoyed and the poor lady would be out there trying to have coffee and read a book. :sad5: So, we are going to be doing some soundproofing in our basement. Luckily, it's not too loud outside when he plays. Glass block windows do seem to help muffle the sound. But we'll be doing more soundproofing. I don't want to annoy the neighbors!

Oh no! I was rolling at the thought of the pictures falling off the wall. I'm sorry! I'm sure I'd be willing to make the same sacrifice for some peace and quiet as well. At least I know there are people here who can relate!
