| Could everyone please pray for my son during his travel to Chicago this weekend? He's going to a concert with a bunch of friends (he's not the one driving) and they'll have to go through the West coast which has been hit hard the last few days. Hopefully it will all be plowed out and salted by tomorrow (he leaves in the morning), but even with good weather I'll worry about a bunch of 19 and 20 year old guys traveling together. Thanks in advance! (Also, my hubby & I will be traveling in the opposite direction, to Detroit today, if you could say a prayer for our safety too...they're predicting snow flurries, but I hope it doesn't sound like anything major. Thank you!) “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| I'll be praying for you and your son's safe trips. Have fun! Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow. | |

| Ah, it's so good to hear that everything went so well for both your son, and you and Bill. A bit of a bummer about the snow - but it was really heavy, wet, nasty snow, and made for treacherous roads....My drive to and from work Thursday night was a fright. So I'm glad you didn't have that kind of snow.
Did you wear your period costumes? Seems like I remember you have some....or am I mistaken? | |

| Thanks Savannah...and you're absolutely right---that heavy snow could very well have kept us home, so I can't complain. I'm so glad the weather was good for Brendan too. I took him back to Kalamazoo last night and I couldn't believe the amount of snow they had left on the side roads, even with all that rain! They'd been hit very hard. And yep, I did wear the period costume when I went with my friend, but that was because it was Halloween. Now that she and I have been to an actual "costuming exhibit/class" at the village, we know that the village probably wouldn't be that happy about our 'non-authentic' costumes, considering they are painstakingly careful about making the costumes for their employed villagers authentic. But for Halloween anything goes, and I'm sure we'll do that again one day. Now, as for getting Bill and my friend's hubby to wear period costuming, that's another story. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
