| After, at one point, having seizures every fifteen minutes, it has been a WHOLE WEEK since Michael had his last seizure, thanks to the meds he's on. ( )Earlier today, I thought he was starting to have one, and it scared me half to death after that last one he had. He came very close to dying because it lasted so long, and he couldn't come out of it. . . But......it turned out that he was just trying to concentrate really hard on his work, and I was just being a nervous wreck. LOLStill no word on what is/was causing the seizures. But, at least we've been able to rule out a tumor and diabetes. He's thrilled about the little things.........for instance - he can walk up and down the stairs alone again. That really made me think about all of the "little" things that most of us can do, and we rarely ever stop to think about how blessed we are to be able to do them. | Savannah, that is great news about Michael!! Will continue to pray that he stays seizure free. I always think of the line from Little House when Mary is crying about John, Jr. breaking up and Charles tells her "if you didn't go through some of the hurts in life, you wouldn't truly appreciate the good things when they happen to you". That is so true isn't it? | |
