| hi Rob maybe no one is on because of the Super Bowl? I'm not sure. but I'm not really a football fan, I only watch the game for the commercials, && I also don't really have anything planned for today. | |

| Ah, hi Kristina. Yeah, maybe that's it. Maybe people have Super Bowl parties to get ready for. I don't think I've ever actually watched a Super Bowl. I like football, but my state's team (*cough*DetroitLions*cough*) has never been remotely close to it, so I don't have much interest. | |

| I'm still bitter over losing to the Saints a couple of weeks ago. I'll be rooting for the Colts. I'm not down with the dirty Saints' defense. They seem to enjoy roughing the passer on every team they play. | |

| I'll be rooting for the Colts, too, if only because they're closer to me. | |

DETROIT?? *points and laughs* Obviously I'm for the Colts by default, but I'm like Rob, maybe one step worse; I've never watched an entire football game. Ever. I'm not even sure what the rules are. But the wife is a Mets fan, so she's the baseball equivalent of you. lol

In that case, if you and I are ever playing against each other, your job is to stand there with your hands in your pockets, watching me as I sprint toward the end zone. Really!

| I was with Rhonda...at church. I had to teach the 2nd and 3rd grade class this morning and had three wonderful kids. As for football, I get so tired of seeing them bunch up and fall down NEVER getting down the field. Just don't have the patience for the game I guess. Its a gloomy 40 degrees outside with no sunshine as we had yestereday. Just not in the mood for any kind of game ! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Half make me feel guilty cuz me and God have an understanding that doesn't involve church, and Rob wants me to stand there with a football while he plows over me like a Mack Truck. Y'all are just as nutz as the rest of the ppl I encounter on the www. lol | |

| Well, I'm the odd man out. I guess after 6 years of watching my son play in high school and college marching band, I have come to LOVE football! I never thought in a million years that would happen. Although I am much more into college football, and all college sports, than professional. We watched the game and thought it was great----I was rooting for the Saints---I always go for the underdog, and it's nice to see something positive happen after what New Orleans has been through. I must say though, I thought this was one of the worst years for commercials. Even the funny ones were not drop dead hilarious---I might have had a slight chuckle here and there and that's it. It seems the ads just get weirder and weirder. (My favorite was definitely the Snickers ad with Betty White. Now THAT was funny. ). “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| We're Coke people, so no, didn't miss them. LOL! Even if I WAS a Pepsi drinker, I wouldn't miss not seeing their commercials. I wouldn't have given it a second thought. Get over yourselves, Pepsi. LOL! | |

| Wow, I didn't even realize it until just now! Guess their idea didn't work with me. We don't even drink Pepsi, so whatever! *Edit* Teresa, we are just TOO much alike! ). “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

- Did you happen to miss the Pepsi ads???? Pepsi decided NOT to run any commercials this year.....kind of their ploy that people would miss them....and hoping that Pepsi was already a part of their Super Bowl party.... Hmmm, I wonder if it worked?
I don't know, but I think they're using their money more wisely. They decided to take the money that they would have used for the Super Bowl commercials, and they're giving it as grants to charitable endeavors. I had a link where you could vote for which ones you wanted to be given money....I'll have to see if I can find it. There were $5,000 grants, $10,000, $20,000 and $50,000 grants....Some of the ideas were really cool. There was one that helped elderly people to get veterinary care for their pets, one where people were teaching young children some of the "old arts" like knitting, crocheting, etc.....A food pantry for the working poor....I'm not a Pepsi drinker, and I don't think I've ever seen a Super Bowl commercial - but I have to say, I think they're spending their money much more wisely in doing this than they would if they spent those millions of dollars on one commercial. No matter how good the commercial is.

| Amy, it IS scary how much we are alike.
I agree, Savannah. Big-time companies don't need to run too many commercials anymore trying to promote their products. The Budweiser commercials during the Super Bowls are always cute, though. The one last night was funny.
