I just wanted to give a heads-up that starting next Monday, there will be TV show cast reunions on all week on the Today Show. Monday will be the cast of Eight is Enough, Tuesday will be Partridge Family, and I think Wednesday will be Brady Bunch! I am really looking forward to this! I was a big fan of all three of those. Not sure what will be on the other days yet. Gee, Little House on the Prairie sure would be nice!

Woo-hoo! Thanks for the heads up. I loved all those shows. One of the things I really like about FoxNews is that they run a Then and Now series in their entertainment section. We get a chance to catch up on some actors who we knew long ago.

My daughter is excited for The Brady Bunch, so I've had that set to Tivo.

They only had a few people on the "8 is Enough" reunion....I was disappointed. Grant Goodeeve (the oldest brother) looks exactly the same! I am looking forward to the Partridge family tomorrow and and of course Brady Bunch!! That was my very favorite. What on earth was it about that show that made so many people go CrAZy over it?!?! LOL, even today if I'm channel surfing and see it, I HAVE to stop and watch it. And it's funny how certain memories of that show slip into my everyday life. Like when the kids throw balls around the house when they know they're not supposed to, you know where my mind goes! I can just hear Bobby's little voice, "Mom always said, don't play ball in the house!" And when I make my pork stew with apples, I think of Peter, "Porkchops and appleshauce". (and yes, it's intentionally mispelled fife ).

Didn't one of the daughters from Eight is Enough (Joanie maybe) die of an overdose?

Yes, that was brought up this morning. I can't remember which daughter it was. I watched Eight is Enough a little bit while growing up, but the Brady Bunch was my favorite.
"My NOSE!!!!!!!"
My daughter just started getting into it a few months ago, and absolutely loves the show! I have 38 episodes on Tivo. LOL!

When is the Brady Bunch reunion coming on?
You are so right Amy... There are many things that trigger my brain to a scene in an episode lol
And I don't know what it is about the Brady Bunch... and I blame Alice for this... but that show makes me snack! lol
It just makes me hungry when the family eats or Alice bakes some cookies for the kids... lol

Oh! And whenever people count from 1 to 8... or talk about their dreams coming true... I can't help to think of the Laverne & Shirley opening theme song!
I used to watch that show a lot in the 80s. Sometimes, I used to put the letter L on my shirts LOL

Looks like I wasn't the only one! LOL I just found out about this book!
1/2 cup butter or margarine, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup instant oats (uncooked), 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 4 2.23-ounce Snickers bars (cut into 8 slices each)
Grease the bottom of an 8-inch square pan. In a large saucepan melt the butter or margarine. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and vanilla. Blend until crumbly. Press 2/3 of the mixture into the prepared pan. Arrange the Snickers bar slices in the pan, about 1/2-inch from the edge of the pan. Finely crumble the remaining mixture over the sliced Snickers bars. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool in the pan on a cooling rack. Cut into bars or squares to serve. Makes 24 bars.

I just heard on The Insider that the Brady reunion has been cancelled due to an ongoing feud between Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb.

Oh, brother!!!! You know, when I went to check the info this morning for Wednesday's line-up, it didn't have the Brady Bunch reunion listed anymore. I knew it was scheduled for Wednesday, and it previously listed a couple of actors that would be on from the show. I had no idea that ALL the Brady kids would be able to make it. What a shame! I saw Maureen on the Today Show alone a couple of months ago, so why not just leave her out and have Eve Plumb on with the rest of the group. That's ridiculous!

The story says that things fell apart when Maureen and Eve found out they were going to be on the same show. Like they didn't know that beforehand? "Oh, I thought Maureen was going to be on with the Partridges."

For real!! It's always Marcia, Marcia Marcia!!!
Seriously, this is soooooooooo stupid!!!! I mean, other people in the cast had to arrange their schedules for this, my gosh. I can understand why it may be awkward for Eve & Maureen, but only one of them should have backed out. I'm sure the Today Show didn't want to make 'the call' as to who they ask not to come. What a bummer----I was really looking forward to that.
I wonder if the Today Show has replaced them with another family reunion? I see that the cast of 227 is going to be on this week. Lame!

Really, the two ladies could've just sat at opposite ends of the couch with the understanding that they wouldn't be asked about their relationship.

I completely agree Rob. It may have been a little awkward backstage for them, but I think there would have been ways of avoiding each other and making the best of it. This is just very immature.

Okay, forget about Marcia and Jan, why can't they still have the reunion with everyone else? If the other 4 can come, then what's the problem? I see that there are only 4 members from the Partridge Family that are there today. It would be just fine to have Greg, Peter, Bobby and Cindy there. Wouldn't Florence have been there too?

I know!! It's ridiculous....they only had a few of the 8 is enough cast too. It doesn't make any sense to me!
I thought it was sweet, what David Cassidy said about Susan Dey this morning. He was very sincere. I wonder why she's dropped off the face of the earth?! Funny what Danny Bonaduce said about her though, "What, are you too good to do these reunion shows with the rest of us?!" Danny & David seem like they have a good friendship and great rapport with each other...they were both pretty funny!

Danny and David were funny. Danny has always had that sarcastic sense of humor.
Are they SERIOUSLY having the cast from "227" on this week? I wouldn't even recognize anyone from the cast. I saw it a couple of times, but come on! Last year they had the reunion shows, too, and one of them was the Cosby Show. I can't remember what other casts were on, but they were all "popular" shows. Wouldn't it be awesome if they had an LHOTP reunion on the Today Show? I wonder why they don't?

I think I mentioned this before, but I remember seeing a Partridge reunion several years ago, minus Susan Dey. When the interviewer asked why she wasn't there, David said, diplomatically, "I think she feels it's best for her career to put as much distance as possible between herself and the Partridge Family."
And Shirley Jones snarled, "If it wasn't for the Partridge Family, she wouldn't have a career!"
It just seemed so mean to hear Susan's mom say that.

When I first read "227," I thought, oh sure, Karen Valentine and David Hartman! Then I remembered that was Room 222.
227... I hardly even remember that one.

I thought it was hysterical when he just blurted out "Robert Pattison is just ugly." I mean, he is just so unpolitically correct it's not only funny, it's refreshing! And I have to kind of agree with him. Then Al said, "He was just on our show yesterday", and Danny said, "so you see what I mean!" , or SLT. And here's David, in typical "Keith" big brother form, laughing but trying to reign him in at the same time! Too cute.

Yep, David is definitely the 'diplomatic' one...good thing because if it weren't for him, there wouldn't be on in the group! Again, I agree with Shirley here! I just think it comes with the territory....because Susan hasn't embraced it, she's been the one who just comes out looking like a snit. Is that a word? It's just the first thing that came to mind. Well, maybe not the first thing. (J/K)
