Not shocking that it was a drug overdose, but sad that he became one more to die from that.
This was a poster I used to have of him in my room in the 80s.
Maybe 2 years ago, Haim & Feldman (and his wife) had a reality show.
It was clear to see that Corey Haim had some
major problems going on involving drugs. Feldman tried to help his friend out but you can't force someone to get better... they have to try and want it as well. I remember seeing an episode where both Coreys meet at this hill and it's almost sunset... they are talking about their friendship and problems and I wasn't exactly sure what Corey Haim had done but Feldman said their friendship was on thin ice... and then you just see Haim alone.. crying, looking at the sunset, thinking about his problems in life... sooo sad. :(
You're right, this is happening a lot, and like someone at this other site said, this is not just a problem in Hollywood, it is a problem throughout America. In Florida 11 addicts die every week. If they had 11 Manatees washing up on shore there would be an outrage, but since it is addicts, few bat an eye. Addiction is a treatable disease, people who use and abuse drugs are not bad people they need help and support... but also they must be willing to make that change in themselves.
