| Pretty ironic, considering my avatar, but I just saw a BEAR in my backyard! It was stretched out at the foot of the deck steps, eating sunflower seeds! Then it wandered around the yard for a while before coming up on the deck to see if there was anything edible up there. It was pretty big - a few hundred pounds, I'm guessing. Definitely not a cub. I've seen bears in the area before, but never up close and personal like this. I tried taking pictures, but without the flash it was too dark. And when I used the flash, all I got was the reflection in the window. This was my thrill for the day! | |

| WOW! And I get excited when I see the fox that lives somewhere close by run across the cul-de-sac we live on. I don't need to see a bear Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow. | |

| We've had deer in our backyard before. We are in a subdivison too. Kingwood was built in the middle of a forrest, thus its called the Livable Forrest. We have our share of fat raccoons too. I'm not too sure they know how to find wild food, they don't come out til garbage day and then you better have a good lid on the can or it will be all over the yard!! We have discovered they love our coffee grounds!! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. | Oh my gosh Rob!!! WOW, up to your deck?!?! Geesh, make yourself at home Mr. Bear! I am sure you are bummed it happened at night and you couldn't capture the picture! You know, we've been hearing that more and more bears are making their way south from the U.P., as opposed to years past. (Not as far south as me, LOL), but 'up north', where you are anyway. Guess you're going to have to be careful whenever you leave your house at night! | |

| Are you sure it wasn't a relative coming to visit? If I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I'm not ever coming to visit you. No way. | |

That is exactly what I was thinking. We don't have bears around here, but we have tons of deer, woodchucks, foxes, turkeys, and those nasty fishers. Man those things are so ugly.

| I sure do. Yesterday I did a jumping jack. The day before that, half a sit-up. You don't get a body like this by sittin' around and twiddlin' your thumbs. | |

I sleep safer knowing you're well armed though.
