*sigh* For the next three days, my area of town is under a "boil water" advisory after coliform bacteria was found in samples of our drinking water. Boil water! 279394 Makes me wish I had well water!

It is the lack of Christianity that has  brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts.  LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart

I know....I'm wondering how long the bacteria has been in the water undetected. I thought I was heat-sick today, but maybe I'm a little under the weather from the water.

Oops....Sorry, Rob...I didn't see your question. This is the first time I can remember having to boil the water before drinking it. Boil water! 988160

Unless you are making tea. Then it works out pretty well.
Any tea drinkers here? I love Lapsang Soushong. Its a dark woody smoky flavored tea. Dee-lish-ous!!

Those are two of my favorites, too. I like some of the herbal teas, too. Echinacea tea is delicious, and I like to make a blend of several kinds of mint that grow around my yard, too, with a little bit of lemon balm mixed in.

The city was offering free bottled water to anyone in the boil water zone, so I went down and picked some up. I'd rather not take a chance on the tap water not being boiled quite long enough to kill the bacteria.

I do the same thing, Savannah, on the rare occasion we've had to boil water. I don't want to take a chance with the tap water either under those circumstances and go with the bottled.

batEyes To quote a wise man I know, "I'll be the judge of that."

Yes, it's quite a therapetic tea.

It once happened in Argentina some 15 years ago. But happily nothing too dramatic occured and there were not any fatal victims to complain. Don't worry... Smile

That's very reassuring. Yikes

I think the last time we had to boil water was during that huge power outage in the north eastern part of the country. However many years ago that was.
