Some of you may remember that I had a bear in the backyard a few months ago. Well, tonight I was sitting in the living room when I heard a loud thump against the window right behind me. I went outside to investigate, and saw a large shadow hurrying out past the garage toward the woods.
A bird feeder, which is normally suction-cupped to the living room window, was laying next to the garage. Apparently the bear had grabbed it off the window and tried to make off with it, only to drop it and skedaddle for the woods when I came outside. Cool!

A bear close to your house!...Be careful or you could end like Mr. Edwards at the epie "His Father's son"! And even worse! I'm not saying that the bear wants to hurt you, and I'm not a person who uses to be shy or scared. But a bear is a bear, and if he gets scared he could attack you.

Oh my, that bear keeps getting closer and closer every time. The next thing you know, he's going to be coming inside and having dinner with you.

You know, you and your bear stories make appreciate all the more that I'm located more in the central part of Michigan. Although, there was a day they would never have come as far south as you!

My brother and sister in law have a house near some woods and there was a bear sighting there.....She told him to rub some bacon grease on himself and go check the woods behind the house to see if it was true about the bear.....

I think the bear got too lonely sitting at that picnic table by himself too long. He was on his way to invite you to join him, but you scared that poor thing away.
But seriously Rob, do be careful. Make sure there are no food laying around outside of your house.

I would actually love to see a sasquatch... from a respectful distance. But I'm sure this was a bear, because there's one that has a history of visiting my backyard. A couple months ago, I stood in the doorway and watched as he laid at the foot of the steps eating sunflower seeds, and then climbed the steps and ambled across the deck only a few feet away from me. It was very cool!

Ah, I recognize that. It's from the Roger Patterson film, shot in 1967. He swore on his deathbed that it wasn't faked.
Very interesting about the giant shadow you saw, blu! I do love a mystery...
