Twitter

Has anyone heard of this site? It's sort of like a blog site, but you just put down a few sentences. You can put things down like I hade a really great day. I got an A on my French exam. Or...I wish the weather would get warmer.

You can put anything you want it's really neat. You can follow others updates and they can follow you to see what you are up to.

So Lots of people have accounts on this new popular well hyped up site! I never really got it what's so hot about this site! So my friend asked me to join and i did!


Not much to do on there! Find it kind of boring lol

That's how I feel about those stupid quizzes on facebook. I don't give a crap about what quizzes people are taking. I have better things to do over there, like find a long lost friend and such. Nuff said yo, lol. :haha:

Yeah but when you find that friend, don't you want to know what quiz he or she takes?

Well I see that you have quite a lot of friends so your homepage must get bombarded with all kinds of updates from everyone. But you can change the setting by going to News Feed and unchecking "Show posts from friends in the default view". But then I don't know what fun that would be... lol

We aren't alone, though, Carol, in not using Twitter. A poll running this week at pluggedinonline.com shows that 68% of people who visit their site don't use Twitter and 20% don't know what it is. They also had a lead-in for an article about it:

In March 2009, Twitter's U.S. audience hit 13.9 million people—up from just 500,000 users the previous March. Still, according to research from Nielsen Online, more than 60% of Twitterers don't return a month after they join. Thus, the 3-year-old social networking site is losing users faster than Facebook or MySpace did at similar stages of their growth.

i have a twitter but it is boring and i really find it useless. i go on there every once in a while but ya not my favorite site

My goodness, even my beloved Elizabeth Taylor is twittering away!

I was on the MSN homepage today and I saw that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are considering leaving Twitter because there are talks about a show being done of the regular people like us tracking celebrities on Twitter. hahaha

He says something like "it's all fun and games until you get stalked" something like that.... but hello! He's the one who sharing all kinds of information of his life in the first place! Like where he's at, what he's doing, where he's gonna go... hahaha...

Then there was a link of the celebrities on Twitter and it amazed me how many of them are using it!! :faint2:
Soleil Moonfrye (Punky Brewster), PDiddy, Miley Cirys, Ophra, Ellen, Paula Abdul, and many many others...

It surprised me how many celebrities twit away lol... being that they say they value their privacy and hate paparazzi... but yet... they are giving clues to the whole world of where they are or are doing... oh the irony... lol
It's a new Era I tell ya.... where you can get to know your favorite celebrity like never before! hahaha...

All that said... I'm glad to know that Dame Elizabeth is at home from the hospital and feeling good, enjoying her garden, enjoying a new puppy, enjoying a new great grandchild, enjoying the movie Twilight, talking about her White Diamonds perfume...

Still doesn't make me want to join though... lol

I had one for a day or two but it just got boring really quick, and it was hard to figure out. plus, it went really slow on my computer

Actually, I have one, but I hardly ever post anything, I just follow. Below is my following list:



I follow some stars and also local news and events around my area, as well as other things like Travel Channel, cooking, OMG Facts, Grammar girl... etc. I've learned a lot of interesting things actually lol



Every day I discovery something/someone interesting to follow so if you would like to recommend me some, go ahead

I do have a Twitter account, but never use it.

I don't have one at all but maybe one of these days. It seems to take me awhile to warm up to the latest thing on the net. First it was MySpace & finally after a lot of pestering from people, Facebook. Funny thing is I hardly go on MySpace anymore. Facebook is just easier. I may graduate up to Twitter before its over with. There are a lot of fellow prairie pals on Facebook too.
