Thank you Krissy. It sure doesn't seem like it's been nine years.
It's also my twin nieces' 16th birthday today. Not a great thing to have to share with your bday, huh.

Thanks, Krissy! It is hard to believe its been nine years! God bless the families of all the ones that perished & the heroes that sacrificed their lives to save lives! You will NEVER be forgotten!
And it is also the 19th birthday of my nephew, the son of my sis, Sabrina, who used to be on the board. Sending out birthday wishes to you, Caleb John Martin!

You ARE very pretty Misti.
My 9/11? The wife lost family there. So our tradition now is light a candle (her), fire 3 shots from a .30-.06 (me) and listen to this vid while doing so.. (both)

I love this video, Larry. Thanks so much for sharing it. My brother-in-law was supposed to be at the WTC that morning, but thankfully his meeting place was changed at the last minute. Katherine had just turned a month old that day and I spent the next week glued to the TV set, though nothing much new happened.
I'm sure we all remember the day that America was changed forever. May God comfort all those who lost loved ones. May He bless our brave men and women who continue to fight for freedom all around the world. But most of all, I pray that one day, the world will know His peace.

I was saying to my husband yesterday, it's amazing how I can remember little details of things from that day that I normally wouldn't. It's something we'll never forget.
I agree with you, Cheryl - I pray that one day, the world will know God's peace. How perfectly said.

That's a nice tribute Larry. You know, I was doing ok until I got to 2:06. Then I lost it....that shot is so moving. And of course, I don't think a more beautiful song has ever been written or sung. Sarah McLachlan is the best.

It can't be said any better than that, Cheryl.

My sister and I were saying the same thing last night....it's unreal how all the details of the day come flooding back, and here we were all pretty much in a state of shock. But yeah, you can go right back there in an instant.

Nine years ago I was planning a weekly trip to the grocery store when everything happend. The kids were in school and all I wanted was to go get them. Clay talked me out of it, because Madison was a bit of an anxiety kid anyway. I went on the do my grocery shopping, but the atmosphere had changed even in there. Instead of "clean up on aisle 9" we heard reports being broadcasts over the speakers. It was the quietest shopping trip I've ever had. The boys came home from school and watched the clip of the planes hitting the towers. Nathan who was 9, said :" Mom there are some crazy guys out there." Madison, then 5-- who had not sucked his thumb in almost two years took it out of his mouth and asked "Mom, why did that bad guy fly into that building? " Over the course of 9 years now they fully understand all because of memorials, and the war. Funny though, their statement and question hasn't changed.
I pray the loved ones of all lost will find peace.
