Why was it forbidden?

It was a law that saids that no ne could name a baby with a foreign name that has translation to Spanish. For example you were allowed to name a baby Kevin, that has no Spanish translation, but not "John", that means "Juan" in our language. "Vanessa" is written in the English way, but "Vanesa" is the Spanish way of the name, and there's nothing bad abut it, since you prnunces it exactle the same way. The only objection I have to made is that almost no one writes it right and adds the "s" that the Civil register took off! HeeHee

Now that is interesting. Wow!

And I'll admit, I generally have to take an extra 's' off when writing your name, Vanesa! Wink BUT, that said, I think it's much prettier with just one 's'. yes

Hi, Jacob!:

Yes; in Spanish it's written with a single "s". Thumbsup
